Not only will Nimbus be attending #MKAN in September, but our Director of Partnerships Mark Briggs PLY will be speaking to attendees about the importance of cross representation in the #KingsAwards and the impact that our #QueensAward for Innovation, back in 2022 has had on a business led by and for Disabled People. Background to the event: 📣 In September 100s of The King's Awards for Enterprise recipients from the Midlands will assemble for the first time – a powerful network of innovative businesses and a springboard for future collaboration and initiatives to benefit our whole region. 🏆 The Midlands is home to a staggering 181 hashtag #KingsAwards for Enterprise recipients – more than any other region outside London and the South East. 🤝 The inaugural Assembly of the Midlands King’s Awards Network hashtag #MKAN will bring together not only awards recipients, but also those aspiring for an award - an opportunity to connect with winners and share success. The day will also feature in-depth panel discussions from business leaders from across the 4 award categories: 🌱 Sustainable development 🌍International Trade 💡 Innovation 🙌Promoting opportunity 📍 University of Birmingham 📅 10th September

About us
Nimbus, a pioneering social enterprise company, based in Derby, is run by disabled people and enables companies and service providers to meet and exceed their legal obligations for disabled people. Nimbus was granted The Queen’s Award for Innovation in 2022 in recognition of the positive impact that the Access Card has on enabling tens of thousands of disabled people have better access to entertainment venues. The Access Card is the first accessible ticketing scheme of its type in the UK offering a universal and consistent way of disabled people evidencing and communicating their access needs to providers quickly and discreetly. Venues now benefiting from accepting the card are widespread and include arenas, theatres, football clubs, ticket retailers, festivals alongside the retail sector. Now with the Nimbus Operating System or NOS, Nimbus and the Access Card has become the 'digital bridge' between 100,000's of disabled people and your business, simply and effectively opening up a world of opportunity. The organisation is also one of the UK’s leading providers of disability-related training, auditing and consultancy for businesses and organisations, supporting businesses to showcase their ability to work with disabled people and to become a provider/employer of choice.

Martin Austin MBE and Mark Briggs PLY representing Nimbus and the Access Card in Westminster today. The sun even came out to say hello!
We were incredibly grateful to be hosted by Amanda Solloway at The Palace of Westminster today. Amanda's been a massive supporter of Nimbus Disability and our ever expanding #AccessCard scheme and we're looking forward to launching something together shortly. Enormous thanks to Tam Traynor for the expert guided tour of both Houses of Parliament - 10/10 on Trip Advisor! Would highly recommend! It was also a pleasant surprise to bump into Charlie Bethel, who's UK Men's Sheds Association project should be on the radar of anyone exploring health and wellbeing

The whole team did us proud last week across 2 amazing conferences!
Last week was quite a week for us at Nimbus Disability and The Access Card We split ourselves over 2 conferences simultaneously. First was #naidex where a mass of staff from the Access Card team talked non-stop for 2 days to thousands of disabled people directly about the scheme. Next was #TPC2024 where the Nimbus team talked, again non-stop, for 2 days about our various ticketing integrations and opportunities for venues and ticketing systems to streamline booking for disabled people. We also got to demo our full Spektrix Integration. This video captures the energy - we were buzzing the whole time!

At #TPC2024 we had some great conversations with lots of eager Spektrix venues looking to complete integration with the #AccessCard We're just finishing up the onboarding process and going into a live real-world integration with The Customs House and in the meantime want to make sure we can capture the details of the other venues that want to be involved when we go live. If you're a Spektrix venue and want to be on the first rollout, please complete this register of interest. https://lnkd.in/evEiJAPk

Check out our latest #AccessCard Ambassador Emma's Story. Thanks to Delfont Mackintosh Theatres Ltd. for being such great partners and great hosts!
Our latest Ambassador, Emma, talks about her love of the Theatre and her Access Card! https://lnkd.in/eH4Wwmdt Massive thanks to Delfont Mackintosh Theatres Ltd. for being an Access Card partner and supporting the filming of this video. The role of an Access Card ambassador is, in part, to show other disabled people that there's a whole range of opportunities and adventures to be had. We hope that anyone watching who's never thought of going to the theatre gets that extra nudge of confidence thanks to Emma. In case you missed it, you can watch Iona's experience at Merlin Entertainments attractions here https://lnkd.in/ePuYRpWE

It's been a busy few days for the team in Birmingham!
Well, I've been going to Ticketing Professionals Conference for a number of years but this one was something else. After finishing up at the Naidex Expo on the other side of the NEC campus we split the team - 7 staff onsite on an Access Card stand at one end and us at TPC at the other! Thrilled to hear Scott Whitehouse (Birmingham Hippodrome) and Katie Moffat (Substrakt) running a session on their integration with Nimbus Disability Also thrilled to properly present our Spektrix integration in full living colour! Thanks to Tom Nolan and co for working with our amazing team to get this done. We met so many venues over the last couple of days and are looking forward to hearing from you all and getting your access schemes set up and running! Massive thanks to Mark Briggs PLY and Sally Austin for talking nonstop for 3 days! #TPC2024
