A huge shoutout and heartfelt THANK YOU to our incredible NARS team! Not only were they tasked to an astounding 230 emergency 999 calls in October, but they also provided an incredible 793.5 hours of voluntary life-saving cover. Monthly Stats Update at NARS! In October, NARS teams responded to an incredible 230 emergency 999 calls— a huge effort by our dedicated team! Our busiest day saw us tasked to 16 calls in just one day. The most common emergencies we attended were cardiac arrests, followed by falls, breathing problems, and chest pains. Out of these calls, our First Responders stepped up for 134 incidents, making a crucial difference before an ambulance could arrive. NARS relies on your generous donations to keep saving lives in our community. Every contribution, big or small, helps us continue this life-saving work. NARS Team Member Spotlight: Critical Care Paramedic Jordan This week, we’re shining a light on Jordan, one of our dedicated NARS Critical Care Paramedics, who has been on standby from home in West Norfolk, responding to several emergency calls. Jordan’s commitment and expertise have been invaluable, bringing additional skills to patients and supporting frontline crews when they needed him most. As a seasoned critical care paramedic with the East Anglian Air Ambulance, Jordan brings a wealth of experience and advanced critical care skills to NARS. His dedication to serving our community doesn’t stop at the end of his shifts in the air ambulance—Jordan also volunteers his specialist skills and time with NARS, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care even in the most challenging circumstances in the Kings Lynn area and beyond. A few months ago I attended EEEGR (East of England Energy Group)'s SNS event at the Norfolk Showground & Events Centre to meet new people within the energy industry. I met, and then heard a really touching speech on the night from Steve Maddams about the great work that the volunteers at NARS - Norfolk Accident Rescue Service do around Norfolk to help save people's lives. And today, I've helped film and produce a series of new videos for the NARS team to use for awareness, fundraising and generally getting to know who and what the team at NARS do on a daily basis. Here's a short patient story we put together for the NARS annual fundraising ball which was used to showcase the important work they are doing and that if it weren't for them Geoff would more than likely not be here today.
