About us
Our purpose as a Council continues to be Leading Nottingham. This is even more important as we work through difficult economic conditions to drive sustained improvement across our city. We will continue to work with our partners to deliver the priorities described in the Nottingham Plan to 2020, breaking the cycle of poverty and making sure local people benefit from the city’s wealth. The Nottingham Plan was developed by partners in One Nottingham, our local communities, businesses and citizens. It sets out what Nottingham should look like in the future and how we can make it happen. 📢 Update on the Nottingham City Council power outage 📢 ➡ Our teams have been working round the clock to fix the power outage that impacted our IT systems and phonelines since Thursday. ➡The cause was a failure in the electrical safety circuit at our HQ, preventing backup generators from powering our systems. ➡ This unprecedented outage affected our central data centre ➡ Power has been reconnected, and some systems are back online, but further repairs and testing are needed. ➡ Phone systems are back up, but we expect high call volumes. Please use email for emergencies. ❌ Please don't come to Loxley House for appointments. This will need to be rearranged. Chief Executive Sajeeda Rose: "I want to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible resilience, patience, and professionalism colleagues have all shown in response to this unexpected challenge. "While we are making progress, we appreciate that this situation has been disruptive. We appreciate the public’s continued patience and cooperation. We will keep you updated as much as we can" 📲 Regular updates will be shared on Facebook and X. Read more here ➡ https://lnkd.in/em9_ZWrX
