  • As the holiday season approaches, we’re delighted to share our 2024 Gifting Guidelines. These ensure your thoughtful donations have a positive, lasting impact on patients, families, and hospital staff across Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust throughout the year. ➡ https://lnkd.in/gE56wQhV 🎄 Ways to support through donations include: 🌟 Grant a Christmas Wish: Monetary donations help us fund wish list items for our Children’s Hospital that are selected by Play Specialists and Children’s Hospital staff. Your support has already helped grant over £7,000 in wishes this year, from arts supplies and games consoles to special animal visits, and with your help, we can make even more wishes come true this season. 🎅 Support our Santa events*: Help us sprinkle some festive magic to our young patients through donations of gifts, selection boxes, and festive costumes. Your contributions will make our two Santa experiences truly magical! 🎁 Gifts for Older Patients*: If you’d still like to donate tangible items to the hospital, then please consider our older patients. Items like socks, chocolates, and toiletries can really mean the world to those spending the festive season in hospital. *If you’d like to donate gifts, selection boxes or supplies for events please do reach out to us beforehand, so we can provide guidance on what donations will have the most impact.

We are proud members of our local community and we support some amazing charities, including this one! Nottingham Hospitals Charity 🙌 Over the last couple of years, we've raised money to help support the charity from bike rides to dragon boat races. We're proud to be able to sponsor the charity and help them achieve their goal of raising £1.5 million to fund enhancements to the hospitals for better patient care. Last year we were gifted with a flower from the Memory Tree to thank us for our support. You can see from Richard's face, that we were pretty chuffed with that. 🥰 You can read more about the incredible work they do by visiting their website: https://lnkd.in/ehdBYiQB

Our first-ever NUH Big Bake Week was a huge success, with over 40 bake sales held across Nottingham’s hospitals and the wider community, raising thousands to support patient care. We loved visiting bake sales at the Breast Institute, Maxillofacial Outpatients, Inzpire, and more. If you missed out, don’t worry - you can host your own Big Bake whenever suits you! Read more about this amazing week and discover how to get involved. A huge thank you to everyone who participated, from NUH staff to local businesses, for supporting our hospitals! https://lnkd.in/egKW4YXq

  • We’re so grateful for our incredible fundraisers who find such meaningful ways to give back to Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. ❤️ Maggie Skinner is taking on the Great North Run to thank the outstanding team at Nottingham Children's Hospital, who cared for her daughter Briony after a serious cycling accident in August. Briony, just 9 years old, suffered a brain injury, and Maggie credits her recovery to both the team’s expert care and the life-saving protection of her cycle helmet. Funds raised from Maggie’s run will support our Big Appeal, helping Nottingham Hospitals Charity continue vital work for young patients like Briony. Next week, Maggie and Briony will share their story on the Notts TV sofa – we can’t wait to tune in! https://lnkd.in/eNqBYHME
