🚀MY OCTOBER RECAP🚀 🏅20km for walk for wellbeing - As part of Team Inclusivation, Dorothea Jones MA FIEDP Reem Yusuf Sara Daouk and I participated in this years ‘20km Walk for Wellbeing’ raising an incredible £135k in support of mental health and wellbeing in hospitality.🌱 🌆Event 1 - Making sense of responsible business with Heart of the City - Heart of the City hosted an engaging evening with networking and insightful discussions with SME’s, corporates and public institutions. We were able to walk away with fresh perspectives on responsible business and new connections!🫶🏽 🤎Event 2 - NYT network x Skyscanner - For Black History Month, ‘Reclaiming Narratives’ was brought to life by Now You're Talking Network & Skyscanner. Offering women across industries a platform to share stories of business and leadership.👩🏽💼 🎗️100 miles for breast cancer - Throughout the month I walked 100 miles for breast cancer awareness, honouring the strength of those afffected and contributing to fight for a cure. Grateful for everyone who supported this journey. The Power of Storytelling 📣📣💥 Our Reclaiming Narratives event for UK Black History Month was a powerful evening of storytelling, connection, and celebration! 👏👏 We loved hosting this event in collab with Skyscanner gathering together to uplift the voices and achievements of Black women and highlighting the transformative power of sharing one’s story. 📣💚✨ The night included: ✨ A storytelling workshop for professionals delivered by the incredible Oriade Joycelyn Adenuga ✨ Honest and insightful panel discussion with superstars Mary Kemi A., Augustina A., Medina Wright and Amber Shand MBCS who discussed navigating career challenges, overcoming stereotypes, and thriving in their fields. ✨Moving Poetry & Spoken Word Performances from @toniverse @rzahlia & Pelumi Obasaju Congratulations to our 13 raffle winners (check your emails) and everyone who bought a ticket, we’ve raised just over £200 for charity 💸💚 Thank you to everyone who joined us, connected over the delicious African and Caribbean cuisine, and shared in the celebration of Black culture. Still reflecting on an incredible event last night with Now You're Talking Network and Skyscanner 👏🏾 Hearing Black women share their stories, especially in corporate, is always inspiring, and this evening did not disappoint. A great panel discussion with Amber Shand MBCS, Augustina A., Medina Wright and Mary Kemi A. on reclaiming your narrative, a super insightful workshop on storytelling by Oriade Joycelyn Adenuga and the inspirational vibes kept strong by three brilliant poets - my kind of event! ✨ (Also, being served banging hot food was a MAJOR plus 👀)

Had an AMAZING time being part of the Skyscanner x Now You're Talking Network Black History Month event on “Reclaiming Narratives” last night. A big thank you to the amazing Mary Kemi A. and Mie Oestergaard 🏳️🌈 for hosting such a meaningful evening. It was an honor to share the panel with Amber Shand MBCS and Augustina A. and also take inspiration from their stories. It was the first time i’ve shared the experiences I’ve had and what I’ve learnt throughout my career to date, and to have it so well received has left me on an EXTREME high!
