Creating the best Health & Safety Culture is foremost in our CEO’s mind NWF Group’s CEO, Chris Belsham is so passionate about creating a best-in-class Health and Safety culture, he put himself in the dock with over 60 jurors (colleagues from Boughey Distribution Ltd, NWF Agriculture and NWF Fuels) in Pinsent Masons Health and Safety #MockTrial at St George’s Hall, Liverpool yesterday. During the course of the ‘trial’ colleagues heard how excellent health and safety standards can keep them & their colleagues safe in their workplace and avoid the likelihood of criminal proceedings. Matt Stanbury, HR Director organised the event to illustrate to all colleagues the Group’s commitment to creating a culture where health and safety practices are world class and that each person has their part to play in delivering this Standard. Health and Safety isn’t always the most exciting topic, but for us, being safe together at work is one of the most important topics. With that in mind, we’re pleased to share that two members of our team have recently received Health and Safety Recognition Awards. 🏅 Sharon Foottit received a health and safety recognition award in June for her great work in improving our first aid procedures and the overall quality of her hazard observations. 🏅 Florin Asandei also received a health & safety recognition award in June from the Group Chief Executive, Chris Belsham, for emphasising the importance of wearing a hi-vis vest on site. Florin has done great work in challenging colleagues and making sure their hi-vis vests are worn at all times on-site. #TeamBoughey #Health&Safety
