Happy International Riesling Day! Aotearoa's South Island - where over 90% of New Zealand's Riesling is grown - is known for its bright days, cool nights, and long, dry autumns, which combined create the perfect climate for Riesling. New Zealand Reisling styles range from bone dry to lushly sweet. You’ll find stone fruit and spice characters from sunny Nelson, lemon and lime from Marlborough, and green apples, minerality, and citrus from the cooler North Canterbury and Central Otago regions 🌞🍏 The combination of fruit intensity, citrus notes, and refreshing acidity in New Zealand Riesling complements a wide range of Asian cuisines. Enjoy drier styles with salads, Japanese tempura, and light seafood or chicken dishes, and sweeter styles with spicy yet fragrant Asian dishes, such as Thai curry 🤍 Find out more about this popular wine variety via the link below. https://bit.ly/3Vf5bPK #nzwine #wine #vineyard #reisling #nelson #marlborough #northcanterbury #wineregion

More than 55 years later, he has counselled countless students, growers, and organisations around the world on vine physiology and canopy management, including his time as the New Zealand Government’s National Viticultural Scientist, from 1982 to 1990. “Richard is very much a visionary, using his international experience to debate the issues facing the wine industry.” Dr Mike Trought Read the full story at the link 🔗 https://bit.ly/3F0dp8u #nzwine #wine #nz
