  • 🌎It's World Water Day on the 22nd March 💧 The theme this year is: Glacier preservation is a survival strategy, with a key message being that we must work together to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and manage meltwater more sustainably for people and the planet. In 2022 OnSite Support launched our Building Better Strategy. At the core of our strategy is an imperative to radically reduce the operational emissions we create - working in partnership with our clients and our supply chain partners. Examples include: ✔️Improving our operations at our on-site laundry machines, where we are minimising the water required for each wash and reusing the waste water. ✔️Working with suppliers who focus on sustainable initiatives such as Leo Workwear. Leo invests in water treatment at many of their facilities where waste water from garment production is treated and recycled. The recycled purified water is then used for washing and cleaning as well as for bathroom facilities. ✔️Helping clients on their sustainable journey too, which is why our PLUS programme provides our customers with information to enable informed choices - such as these sustainable water storage solutions: 👉 https://loom.ly/5FHpaOo 👉 https://loom.ly/zNZ5Pa4 👉 https://loom.ly/rXhQrZs Focussing on sustainable initiatives should be part of your operational improvement strategy. • We were excited to be able to attend the National Highways Engagement Council event at Old Trafford last week 😀 The theme, "We Care About Safety," set the tone for an inspiring event focused on safety and care: leadership, collaboration and impact on the ground. There were talks from a fantastic line up of speakers exploring emerging trends and practical insights for the future.🛣️ The leading Practice Hubs showcased many innovative ideas that are making a real difference on the ground and improving safety, health and wellbeing outcomes. Suppliers were also given a demonstration of the National Highways Supplier Development System which helps support suppliers build their capabilities to deliver investment programmes, with free learning and development opportunities for all suppliers.🔍 "An engaging and though provoking day. Great opportunity to be involved with National Highways and fellow supply chain partners to ensure our infrastructure is delivered safely and sustainably into the future." ~ Damian Lynes, Sales Director at OnSite Support.👍 #PPESupplier #ConstructionUK #Safety #Care #NationalHighways #EverybodyMatters Damian Lynes Warren Lynes

  • #InternationalWomensDay! A day for celebrating all the incredible women we know. As a testament to our dedication to promoting diversity and inclusivity at OnSite Support, we are thrilled to announce that 36% of our workforce is female, a number that significantly surpasses the industry average. In the last year we increased our workforce by 20, off which 40% are women. Looking ahead, we plan to continue breaking barriers and challenging the industry norms by further increasing the representation of women in our company, where possible. We are happy to have such a fantastic team of inspiring women contributing to the industry. #WomenInConstruction #ConstructionUK #Equity #InspireInclusion #PPESupplier #InternationalWomensDay!

  • #WomenInConstruction week continues... This week, we continue to celebrate the strength, talent, and resilience of women within the construction industry. Although women currently only represent 15% of the construction industry's workforce, their contributions are invaluable to the growth of the sector. However, there are still challenges that must be faced to eradicate the bias facing women in the industry. So we want to hear from our fellow clients and partners: ❓What changes have you seen in women's PPE? ❓What are the key challenges that still need to be addressed in relation to women's PPE? ❓What else, in your opinion, remains to be done to support women and diversity in construction? Comment below with your feedback. #WICWeek #PPESupplier #ConstructionUK #EverybodyMatters

  • It's #WomenInConstruction week! Over the last year: 🎥 We visited McLaren to discuss women in construction with their staff and ED&I team - watch what they had to say here ➜ https://loom.ly/gtfJcBE 👷♀️ We attended an event with Align JV to talk about equality, diversity, and inclusion in the construction industry, while connecting with some truly inspiring individuals ➜ https://loom.ly/qD9-1lU 🦺 Tom Pittock discussed the importance of gender-specific PPE in construction with Bouygues UK - view their video here ➜ https://loom.ly/m7R_cnE 📘We developed a new Diverse Range catalogue here: https://loom.ly/6ijLUqc One key issue in the construction industry is the lack of gender specific PPE, which not only affects women’s safety but also their work efficiency and overall well-being. Fortunately, in the last five years, manufacturers such as LEO, Regatta, V12, Bolle, Traffi, Pulsar and Rockfall have made strides in developing a broader range of gender-specific PPE to promote diversity and inclusion within the industry. 👷♀️ In December Katie Kelleher (aka Katie Crane) visited OnSite Support to look at PPE That Fits and the Difference It Makes 🦺 https://loom.ly/KJGG9pA "🛠️ Properly fitting PPE is more than a matter of preference. It’s about enabling everyone , regardless of size or gender to perform their best while staying protected." Look out for what comes next... #WomenInConstruction #Equity #PPESupplier #SiteSafety #ConstructionUK
