We’re delighted to announce that we’ve entered a new investment cycle with CVC and new investors to set us up for further growth 🎉 This investment will enable a new cycle of growth and investment to meet the needs of our aircraft operator and licensor customers and follows our significant growth since CVC first acquired us from BBA Aviation in 2019. This refinancing transaction sees CVC Capital Partners renew their investment in Ontic and the introduction of a number of new investors into minority positions. Gareth Hall, our CEO, said: “Ontic has served the market for 50 years this year and has delivered strong growth since 2019 because it provides a unique and valuable service to the aerospace and defense industries. We license mature product technologies so that OEMs can focus on their future next generation technology initiatives, and in doing so we guarantee part availability to civil and military operators for the decades-long life of their aircraft. “I’m very proud of our employees - past and present - for all their hard work in building an independent and successful Ontic since 2019. You might remember that earlier in the summer our Gloucester and Cheltenham sites had to schedule a re-match to their annual Rounders match because they drew...well, the teams played a couple of weeks ago in a timely show of athletic skill and we finally have a winner. Well done to our Gloucester team!! Unbelievably, the match resulted in another draw of 23-23! So, the teams battled it out in another short game which ultimately led to our Gloucester colleagues coming out victorious with an extremely tight 2.5-2 win. Graham Rimell (Cheltenham) earned the title of most entertaining player and Michelle Smith (Gloucester) was awarded loudest heckler meanwhile, Clare Caudle-Stephens (Cheltenham) and Ritesh Shekoba (Gloucester) were crowned players of the match. In what has now become an annual initiative, we were really pleased to donate a variety of school supplies to Granville County’s children last week 📚 Including backpacks, notebooks, lunchboxes and other stationary, these supplies were donated by Ontic employees and Ontic as a company to support children within our local community ahead of the start of the school year. Dr Stan Winborne, Superintendent at Granville County Public Schools (GCPS), who have been championing Granville County students’ social, emotional, physical, and general health and wellness for a number of years, said: “We in GCPS are grateful for the generous spirit of our partners at Ontic. We are so appreciative of all the Ontic family does for our students at all grade levels. It is wonderful to have such giving business partners in our community. Please know what you do makes a difference.” Supporting our local community to thrive is super important to Ontic and our employees so we're glad we could donate these much needed items directly into the arms of children who will benefit from them. Our Gloucestershire colleagues had a great time with friends and family at the Jet Age Museum last week. Featuring fun fair games, delicious food, an ice cream truck, and tours of the Jet Age Museum, the day was full of fun and just what everyone needed on a lovely summer’s day (thankfully the rain stayed away!). With 640 people coming along, it was great to see everyone enjoying downtime with colleagues, friends and family, especially after the effort everyone’s put into a great H1. We had a lot of fun competing in the Aerospace Games last month 🏆 Although Team Ontic didn't come out victorious, we certainly gave our all to the day’s events (dodgeball was particularly energetic!). The Aerospace Games is a great excuse for our industry to come together, give back to our community, and engage in some healthy competition. Organized in aid of local LA food banks, everyone participating was encouraged to bring food items to donate and at the end of the day, the collection was overflowing so it was great to be involved. Just like our fellow Olympians, Ontic’s athletes have already resumed their training schedule ready for next year where we’re determined to win a medal! #AerospaceGames #FunAtWork #AerospaceIndustry #Aviation #Aerospace
