It’s the new Reading Festival! The very first openEHR International conference! If you don’t believe me check my hoodie! A fantastic day 1 helping a brilliant team by running the Forest room for Rachel Dunscombe and the team, with Abigail Bouvier and our own Shalini Sood. It was filled with great conversation and debate… and even a treasure island map of the standards landscape and the opportunity for greater collaboration and how to augment it all in an ai enabled future… some great keynotes in the main theatre too, and brilliantly facilitated by Tjasa Zajc for the team there too. I really enjoyed the amazing Dave deBronkart aka e-patient Dave too. So great to see him again after the international policy forum at ICT&health in Maastricht earlier in the year too and a great dinner with him Dr Louise Schaper Herko Coomans Jenna Wildeman Femke Jansen Kanika Goel Shalini Sood and (Shwinkels) aka Joshua Roberts and other friends. It was heartening to hear of good progress wifh OneLondon too, and the back end of it all displayed! Open interoperable data with high utility is key. So many brilliant minds here and so much to be hopeful for in the coming year ahead as the open agenda and collaboration for the betterment of care takes centre stage with FHIR, OMOP and openEHR International’s ongoing collab. Today, as an Industry Partner, I am attending the first openEHR International summit here in the UK. It is a real pleasure to have personally met the founding father of openEHR Professor David Ingram and all other openEHR enthousiasts here at the conference. I was also pleased to hear the collaboration between openEHR International and #FHIR, two highly important global digital medical standards, is finally taking place. A true milestone in digitalisation in the medical world and highly needed for interoperability and medical data availability beneficial for patients and the future of healthcare. #AI I look forward using openEHR as the base of my start-up Enigma Global eHealth in the near future.
