Introducing OPUS Conclaves, our Peer-to-Peer Problem-Solving Series. A forum designed for an intimate group of members to share challenges, debate strategies, and collaboratively solve the immediate problems they face in their business journeys. These sessions foster a culture of collaboration, with members offering support, insights, and actionable advice in a confidential, Chatham House Rules setting. It’s a chance to not only gain fresh perspectives but also pay it forward by contributing your own insights to help fellow members succeed. In our first session, we focused on the critical topic of: Finding Product-Market Fit & Knowing When to Pivot. Moderated by our OPUS member Scott Radford CHPC™, we addressed four member-submitted questions, each with 10-minute discussions aimed at providing practical, real-world solutions. Beyond problem-solving, OPUS Conclaves are about building deeper, more meaningful connections between members - creating a strong network of support and shared experience. Every month for the past few months, our Entrepreneur in Residence, Adam Levene has drawn from his experience as a successful entrepreneur to guide our community through practical, hands-on workshops. His most recent focused on sales, sharing actionable strategies that members can apply directly to their businesses. The session was highly interactive and full of real value. Adam’s entrepreneurial journey speaks for itself—after leaving school at 18, he went on to build, scale, and exit two leading tech companies for $250M by the age of 32. His last venture, HERO, was acquired by Klarna in 2021, where he joined the leadership team behind Europe’s most valuable private company. Now an investor and advisor, Adam works closely with fast-growing consumer brands, injecting energy and innovation into unchallenged categories. He has also led popular workshops on fundraising and hiring for our members, offering game-changing takeaways. We’ll be sharing highlights from those soon—stay tuned! Up next, on November 1st, Adam will be leading a session on marketing and positioning—a crucial topic for any startup looking to scale. We’re excited to see what insights will emerge from this one! Last week, we hosted an unforgettable evening at Boodles' iconic Bond Street store for our latest OPUS Oracles event—Building a Legacy: Establishing a Multi-Generational Family Brand with Boodles. Geordie Wainwright and his father, Michael Wainwright, took us on a captivating journey through the remarkable 225-year history of their family business. From maintaining a rich heritage to innovating in the luxury market, attendees gained rare insights into how Boodles has passed through generations while staying true to its core values. It was an inspiring night for all who are focused on building brands that can stand the test of time. And as a special highlight, members even got to hold the £6 million diamond! Thank you to our talented OPUS member and photographer Adam Isfendiyar for capturing these brilliant moments. Earlier this year, OPUS launched in the UAE. As the UAE continues to grow at an unprecedented pace, prioritising innovation and building for the future, OPUS is creating a centre of gravity for the entrepreneurial community to support and facilitate further opportunity creation between the UK and the UAE. Last month we hosted an OPUS Oracles with Ambassador Edward Hobart CMG, the British Ambassador to the UAE, at the iconic Fiker Institute . Thank you to Ambassador Hobart for sharing his insights on the UAE’s growing global influence, focusing on trade, security and innovation. OPUS and Fiker have partnered to collaborate to test ideas and advance global solutions among the next generation of change-agents, focusing on amplifying the entrepreneurial corridor between the UAE and the UK. We cannot wait to bring more incredible experiences to current and future members in the UAE! If you are curious to find out more about OPUS, contact Moe Hanafy or Pascaline Millar.
