Celebrating our impact 🙌 We've just launched our 2023/24 Impact Review: a snapshot of our work and it's impact on the fabulous communities and partners we work with. Our work is motivated by the following aims: 📍We are a national producer, working to increase access to world-class music experiences. 📍We believe that people from all backgrounds, areas and ages should have access to high quality music opportunities. 📍We focus our work on communities who currently have less access to the performing arts. 📍We encourage orchestras to think about the impact they have beyond the stage. 📍We work to change people's hearts and minds about what an orchestra can be. https://lnkd.in/evMCWAMa

💡 "Since 2008, over 18,000 people have benefited from high-quality live music and group music-making to support their recovery and wellbeing through Royal Liverpool Philharmonic's long-term Music and Health NHS programme." Earlier this year, we published the official report on our second UK-wide Orchestras in Healthcare survey, featuring a case study on Royal Liverpool Philharmonic's work. It is inspiring to see the tangible impact of this work on both patients and staff 🙌 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eEM33t4n Clatterbridge Cancer Charity Clatterbridge Private Clinic #Health #Wellbeing #OrchetsrasinHealthcare [Alt text: A quote graphic. ⭐ SPOTLIGHT ⭐ Today we're shining the light on some of our work with Wiltshire Music Centre 🙌 Last month, we collaborated with the team as they launched their Autumn season with a fantastic concert presented by Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra! We worked to bring the magic of music to life through workshops at John of Gaunt School, Trowbridge, led by Neil Valentine and his BSO Participate team. Audience members were treated to a pre-concert, setting the tone for an evening of exceptional music. The concert, conducted by Enyi Okpara and featuring Danny Driver, was a spectacular start to the season! 📸Dave Pegg [Alt text: Image 1 - A workshop in a classroom. BLOG: the impact of a long-term residency in Great Yarmouth 🙌 "It became clear how meaningful this event was for most of the audience members, who emphasised their need for more events similar to this one... the event helped them feel a sense of proximity to their home country and their cultural heritage. Some mentioned that the songs brought back childhood memories. Others spoke about how music is a powerful way to foster a sense of community that transcends language."
