This week was World Stroke Day 🧠 🌍 According to the World Stroke Organization, the global burden of stroke is very high, with 1 in 4 of us having a stroke in their lifetime and 6.6 million deaths every year resulting from strokes 🏥 Therefore, it is paramount that everybody knows the signs to look out for. Last stop on the Grow London Gateway to Asia Life Science Trade Mission was Hong Kong! 🇭🇰 Katerina and the delegation visited HKSTP - Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, as well as Clinical Trials Centre, The University of Hong Kong. The visits included a tour of the Incu-Bio co-working lab, Biobank and histopathology services, the Biomedical Technology Centre, fireside chat at AstraZeneca, engaging with HK investment companies and HSBC. We were also warmly welcomed with a reception at the British Consulate General by Deputy Director for Trade and Investment, Hong Kong and Invest Hong Kong. Our CEO, Dr Katerina Spranger, Spranger has arrived in Japan and hit the ground running on the Grow London Gateway to Asia Life Science Trade Mission 🇯🇵 One of the first stops on the Mission was the UK Life Sciences Symposium at Nihonbashi Life Science Hub, hosted by Life Science Innovation Network Japan (LINK-J). Katerina heard from key speakers, including British Ambassador to Japan Julia Longbottom CMG and LINK-J’s Akihiko Soyama, and introduced PreSize® to a whole new audience! 🚀 The next stop is Yokohama! The Trade Mission delegates sped over to Yokahama on the Shinkansen Bullet train, to attend BioJapan - Asia’s biggest biotech event.
