🦠 CyanoCapture awarded a #horizongrant from the European Commission to scale up microalgae cultivation!
We are delighted to announce that COSEC project led by CyanoCapture has been awarded a €4,000,000 Horizon grant from the European Commission to scale-up outdoor cultivation of resilient microalgae and cyanobacteria to capture biogenic flue gases. The consortium will be demonstrating algal CO2 capture and downstream conversion of biomass via anaerobic digestion and hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL)at the PhytoBloom - Microalgae by Necton facility in Olhao, Portugal 2024-2027. We are grateful for the opportunity to build something with an all-star team of academic and industrial partners with a common vision that we can make algal CCU affordable for the world.
