Pancreasgroup.org 2 - Survey on Hospital Factors Affecting Failure to Rescue in Pancreatic Surgery PARTICIPATE NOW!
About us
The first results of PancreasGroup.org 1 were presented at IHPBA 2022 in New York and are now published in the British Journal of Surgery. The goal of PancreasGroup.org 1 was to help improve the practice of pancreatic surgery worldwide by sharing research and innovation. The "PancreasGroup.org Snapshot" study aimed at identifying the true morbidity and mortality after pancreatic surgery as well as modifiable predicting factors of outcome. Key results included a high mortality and failure to rescue rate is certain regions. The PancreasGroup.org 2 project has been developed to address factors affecting failure to rescue. A kick-off meeting was held at the E-AHPBA 2023 Conference in Lyon with over 100 participants from around the world. The PancreasGroup.org 2 collaborative aims to provide support to local communities through various strategies and methodologies. The PancreasGroup.org 2 Survey on Hospital Factors Affecting Failure to Rescue in Pancreatic Surgery is now open and will close on 30 January 2024. 🚨Survey on Hospital Factors Affecting Failure to Rescue in Pancreatic Surgery 💡 A global survey to evaluate hospital-related factors impacting Failure to Rescue (FTR) post-pancreatic surgery. FTR relates to the rate of mortality after a major complication, and is a key metric in surgical outcomes, patient safety, and hospital quality. Previous studies have focused on patient- or hospital volume-related factors affecting FTR, with limited exploration of potentially modifiable aspects on an institutional level. Understanding hospital-related factors could however greatly reduce FTR rates. 👉https://lnkd.in/d2WfYGbq As an experts in pancreatic surgery, please rate specific factors based on your institutional experience. This will provide a vital insight into potentially modifiable risks associated with FTR, thereby contributing to the enhancement of global patient care and safety standards.

🔝 Our first PancreasGroup.org collaborative snapshot study on clinical outcomes in pancreatic surgery was a success and the results were recently published in the British Journal of Surgery (BJS) ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gqJDgUpB 🔍 An important outcome was Failure to Rescue (FTR) and its differences across countries globally. FTR relates to the rate of mortality after a major complication, and is a 🔑 metric in surgical outcomes
