The project is part of Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA)’s ongoing investment is sustainable system improvements and ridership enhancements. From render to reality! Check out our latest project transformation, from custom designed to installed and in action. This week we showcase Lahti Region Transport - Lahden Seudun Liikenne (LSL). LSL introduced Finland's first solar-powered e-paper public transport displays in collaboration with Papercast. The project aims to enhance the user experience and promote sustainability in public transport. These environmentally friendly Papercast e-paper displays align with Lahti's status as the European Green Capital of 2021. The e-paper displays consume significantly less energy than traditional displays, operating on solar-powered rechargeable batteries even in Finland's challenging Nordic climate. The project has successfully replaced LCD displays in the city center, offering real-time passenger information and general updates. Exciting news from Downtown LA! Our team in North America is installing the next phase of our solar-powered e-paper displays in collaboration with Los Angeles Metro. As we rapidly expand across downtown LA, our bus stop displays are bringing real-time bus arrivals and service updates to riders.
