Another month flew by! 😯 Here’s a look at what we got up to in August: PAPIER TURNED 9 We celebrated with our founder Taymoor Atighetchi, and, of course, a birthday cake! 🎂 DESIGN TEAM WORKSHOP Our design team got creative with decoupage and flower making – keep your eyes peeled, as these might just make an appearance as props in future shoots and trade shows! PAPIER AT THE OLYMPICS Our colourblock notebook made a front-row appearance at the Paris Olympics WALK FOR WOMEN A group of Paps walked 10k to support Solace Women's Aid, raising money for an important cause. PAPIER AT THE BBC We featured on BBC Radio 4, where we discussed our dog-friendly office policy. PAPIER X RISER Our brand, marketing, and creative teams shared their insights on the importance of creative thinking in their careers.
We’re excited to share a first look at our Papier Library space at Maison&Objet in Paris this weekend. The Papier Library is the largest and most thoughtfully designed space we’ve ever created. Every detail and material has been carefully considered to bring the Papier brand to life. We chose a library-inspired space because, just like the blank pages of our stationery, it represents endless possibilities and the chance to write your own story. Months of creativity have gone into this project, and we’d like to give special thanks to our amazing team—Molly Park, Jenny Jackson, and Michelle Holloway—for working so hard to bring the vision to life. 🇫🇷 Bonjour, Paris! We're thrilled to announce Papier's official wholesale launch into Europe at Maison&Objet in Paris from the 5th to the 9th of September. Whether you're a retailer, a design enthusiast, or simply a paper person, we'd love to meet you and share our Papier designs and story. Come and meet us at our stand in Hall 2 (A42-B41).
🐾 Did You Know? Papier is a Dog-Friendly Office! 🐾 Yesterday, Claire Hunter, our Senior People Manager, was live on BBC Radio 4 PM discussing our "Dogs in the Workplace" policy! 🐶 At Papier, we love having dogs in the office to boost morale and create a welcoming environment — it's one of our favourite perks! How does our dog policy work? 🐶 First-Time Visits: Paps must complete a ‘Bring your Dog to Work’ form and get approval from our People team. ❔ Trial Period: New office dogs have a one-month trial to ensure they adjust well and are happy in the working environment. 🗓 Daily Coordination: Weekly Slack polls help us track when dogs will be in the office and give visibility to the wider team. ⚡ Owner Responsibilities: Owners are fully responsible for their dogs, keeping them on a lead and maintaining a calm atmosphere.
On the 6th of August, our Women’s ERG, led by Zoe Thompson, organised a charity walk to support Solace Women's Aid, a charity that aids women and girls in London affected by domestic violence. Starting at our Camden office, the group walked 10km through surrounding areas, finishing with a celebration back at Maison Papier with the wider team — raising an incredible £1,137! As Zoe beautifully put it: "The safety of women in the workplace and in society has been a key focus for the Women’s ERG this year. As part of the work we’ve been doing, we felt it was really important to support a charity dedicated to this cause and raise funds to help them continue their great work. We chose to support Solace which is an amazing charity that helps women and girls in London who have experienced domestic violence build safer and stronger lives through their services." A huge thank you to everyone who participated and supported this initiative!

It was a busy July here at Papier! Here's a roundup of all the things we've been up to: NYLON Week The Papier US team joined us in LDN for a big week of socials – from our Monthly Meet to an office breakfast feat. our founder’s famous scrambled eggs! Garden Gala We held our Bridgerton-themed summer party at Ashridge House. The celebrations began with a scavenger hunt and finished with a night of karaoke. Papier Pottery Our Marketing team took part in a relaxing pottery class at Social Pottery, where everyone showed off their creative talents! Bake Sale We raised over a third of our target for Solace Women’s Aid with a charity bake sale. We’ll be keeping up fundraising activities this August. Courageous Conversations Leading Culture’s Ali Hannon gave an incredible workshop to our team at Café Papier, helping us on our equality, diversity and inclusion journey.
