From Donald Trumps continued claims that tariffs are borne by the Exporting country - And not the actual consumers of the importing country who pay higher prices - and our own Rt Hon Rachel Reeves(from accounts) stating that the April National Insurance increases would only hit businesses - while ignoring that Businesses cant absorb this extra cost - so pass them onto consumers in cost and service charge increases.... now, DEFRA have joined in the 'Stupidity race to the bottom' as they claim that the terribly conceived and executed EPR recycling taxes "Mean that taxpayers won’t foot the bill" - well who will!?!, with razor-thin Margins producers have no choice other than to pass on this tax to... taxpayers.. Yesterday The Telegraph continued to highlight this stealth-tax:
