Teenagers! 250+ of them. 500+ young, impressionable and critical eyes staring at me and expecting something inspiring 😥 💡 Of course they are the ones who inspired me with the beautifully run conference featuring multiple schools, noteworthy speakers and well-researched STEM topics including #blockchain. These are the leaders of the future and they are going to knock it out of the park (or the lab as the case may be) Thank you to the NLCS Ideas Hub for inviting me to be a part of this wonderful evening that I will always remember⭐️ #stem #leadership #innovation #gettingthingsdone Polkadot Parity Technologies Polkadot Blockchain Academy

Our team members frequently get the chance to travel far and wide to talk about their important work in the Polkadot ecosystem... Here's a good example: Director of Legal Eva Wong on one of the principal stages at the hugely popular #Devcon event in Bangkok this week ⚖ 🇹🇭 Eva spoke to #Web3 developers about "Navigating Developer Liability in Open-Source Blockchain Projects". Her tips (not official legal advice!) included: ✅ Don’t be scared to innovate 🤨 Be vigilant 🛑 Don't ignore warning signs 🤝 Engage with legal

Later today, our VP People & Ops, Antony Lias, appears on a LinkedIn live stream hosted by Calyptus about #Web3 organizational leadership. He'll answer questions on... 1. How does leadership change when building and nurturing globally distributed teams? Are leaders still necessary, or do they serve a different purpose in this environment? 2. Do you think the adoption of technology such as #AI and greater automation will redefine the role of leaders, and if so, how? The stream will go live from the Calyptus account so make sure to follow them and watch Antony feature in this interesting discussion!

Our Director of Legal Eva Wong is speaking at #DevCon in Bangkok on Friday on the important but often neglected topic of developer liability. TLDR; If you're a developer and are in any way worried about liability should something go wrong, then reach out to your friendly legal team for support and advice. But Eva's talk will obviously draw on a lot more than that, including the relevance of DAOs and what we can learn from some of the stories in the crypto press in the last year or so.

In Bangkok for Devcon? Want to hear me talk about developer liability in open source blockchain projects, the most recent cases and what devs and their organisations should be thinking about? I'll be on Stage 5, 1.10pm on Friday 15th! https://lnkd.in/eHdp4ZQN

I’m looking forward to taking part in this discussion. The role and purpose of leadership within Web3 is culturally and practically distinct. The ever-changing landscape, whether in response to emerging technologies or other pressure points (impact of a fluid regulatory environment etc) present significant challenges, but also many opportunities. Thank you for the invite Callum Crombie

🤝 A warm welcome to the Parity family to Vinícius Souza Andrade! The majority of our recent hires have been for software engineers, who develop the technical infrastructure of Polkadot amid a busy schedule of product updates. But our complementary operational support team is also maturing, and we’re delighted to welcome Vini, originally from Brazil, to this important department. From a political science and economics background, Vini has spent six years in tech, both in project management and customer success. As befits the worlds of both Parity and Polkadot, he has managed clients on a global level. 🧑🍳⛷ Outside work, he enjoys languages, cooking (hence the photo in which he’s shown making 10kg of jam), skiing, and wine.

We’re excited to have two of our team members join important panels today. Between them they'll cover inclusion, tech trends & Parity's workplace culture. While we often talk about the impressive tech that our engineers build, behind their work stands a passionate team of other types of specialists, all supporting our mission. First up, Pragnya Challapalli, our Head of People Partners, appears at BITES Berlin, organized by BlackInTech Berlin. She’ll take part in a panel on #inclusion alongside other excellent speakers who will also explore the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in #tech Also today, Matej Strucl, our Director of Operations, will be on an X Spaces event organized by Calyptus, at 5pm GMT. Calyptus is a community-driven platform for the #Web3 workforce, which recently ranked us number 6 in its top 100 Web3 employers list. Matej will discuss the advantages and challenges of managing international, #borderless teams. Interested in a job at Parity? Head over to X and hunt down the Calyptus account, or add it to your calendar http://buff.ly/48wPpV5
