A beautiful magazine of around 84 pages with stories of people living with parkinsons, researchers and companies who are doing something for people with parkinson. 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫´𝐬 𝐞𝐧𝐝: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭´𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚? With just over two months left in 2024, I am excited what 2024 still has in store for Redcare Pharmacy and #onlinepharmacy on the political and event level. Although of course not all our cool and exciting work can be disclosed, I am looking forward to prepare for and engage with the broader healthcare community, both in Brussels and across Europe, on the following topics: ⭐ 𝐴𝑙𝑙𝑜𝑤𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑜𝑛𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑒 𝑠𝑎𝑙𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑝𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑐𝑟𝑖𝑝𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑚𝑒𝑑𝑖𝑐𝑖𝑛𝑒 (#𝑅𝑥) 𝑎𝑐𝑟𝑜𝑠𝑠 𝐸𝑢𝑟𝑜𝑝𝑒 This is an ongoing priority theme, where we continously discuss changing Article 172 of the 2023 proposal of EU Directive on the Union code relating to medicinal products for human use (https://shorturl.at/AqbLO). This will also be part of the discussion at the OnHOME alliance launch event next week in Brussels where both patient organisations and online pharmacies demand a liberal and equal treatment approach of both patients and pharmacies to obtain their medication to their own wishes. Registration to the event: https://shorturl.at/DJE9G European Association of E-Pharmacies (EAEP) Cancer Patients Europe - CPE Parkinson's Europe National Association of Patient Organizations (NAPO) Mike Isles ⭐ 𝐸𝐻𝐷𝑆 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐸𝑈 𝐷𝑖𝑔𝑖𝑡𝑎𝑙 𝐼𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑊𝑎𝑙𝑙𝑒𝑡 As online pharmacies, we now have full recognition under the #EHDS that online pharmacies must be able to accept crossborder e-prescriptions. Although this is a great leap forward, we need to ensure that we can accept e-prescriptions in a fully digital and low-threshold way. Also, the EU Digital Identity Wallet (#EUDIW) is a wonderful instrument to bring your e-prescription across border with you everywhere you go, and should be tailored perfectly to digital points of care, such as online pharmacies. Great to work with many colleagues on this complex, European theme! ⭐ 𝑃𝑟𝑒𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑛𝑒𝑤 𝑔𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑛𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑛𝑒𝑤 𝑝𝑜𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑖𝑒𝑠 Being active as online pharmacy in amongst other countries Belgium and Austria, we´re eagerly looking forward to working with these future governments, although its formations might take some time. We´re prepared to discuss the future of (digital) health with new political decision-makers, always with the patient and providing them with excellent pharmaceutical care being top of mind! The same goes for the new European Commission, whose Commissioners-designate will be subject to EP hearings in November. Exciting times ahead! ⭐ 𝐿𝑒𝑡´𝑠 𝑚𝑒𝑒𝑡, 𝑙𝑒𝑡´𝑠 𝑒𝑥𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑔𝑒!
