3 years ago I met quiet 10 year old Zahra through Participate Projects Venturist Project who wanted to change the world through her project ‘We Are One’ - and what a journey she has been on since then. She’s #confident, #determined, passionate and full of wisdom! Her Youth Social Action project has continued to grow and instigate real #positive #change in the #community. She is voicing her passion and determination to make the world fair, equal and full of kindness; she is #empowered and is taking #ownership of her community. She has won competitions, spoken to audiences at Leeds Cathedral, written an award winning poem about reducing racism … and the list goes on. She’s part of the Born in Bradford project and is now entering a film competition about her life encouraging other to live with passion, enthusiasm, courage and compassion. She really is a star - a #leader tackling the #inequalities and #unfairness experienced by many in our community. Thank you to all our #funders, #business leaders, community #champions, #schools and #volunteers who have supported Zahra and all the other Venturists just like her - the project is making a lasting #impact on young people; it’s inspirational and making a #difference in so many ways.
