This wasn't your typical business class – this was a five-week deep dive into the real-world strategies and tactics that have helped Payhawk become the company it is today. What makes this partnership so special? It's about bridging the gap between academic theory and business reality. These students didn't just learn about business development – they lived it through interactive sessions with professionals who navigate these challenges every day. For us, this represents something bigger than a single course. It's about investing in talent early, sharing the practical knowledge that's often missing from traditional business education, and building a pipeline of skilled professionals who understand what it takes to succeed in today's competitive landscape. As Bulgaria's first unicorn, we believe we have a responsibility to lift up the next generation. When Gabriela walked into that classroom, she carried with her not just her own journey from AUBG student to Chief of Staff to the CEO, but the collective wisdom of our entire organization.     Hands-on learning is essential to the AUBG academic experience. After five weeks of lectures and workshops, 20 students completed the Payhawk Business Development course, the first in a collaboration with Bulgaria’s first unicorn startup. Led by alumna and Chief of Staff to the CEO Gabriela Belnikolovska (’19), the class gave students a deep understanding of the strategic importance of business development processes and practical skills for identifying and approaching customers through interactive sessions led by experienced professionals from the industry.
