Whilst we are all in various states of lockdown, dependent on which country we call home, we have found this moment to be a challenge in a wide variety of ways. For some, it is financial. For others, it is because Covid-19 has overtaken service provision for an already existing illness and we feel left to the side. For others, still, it may be isolation or our mental health. To this end, we have extended our support services. The helpline has been running at full tilt, and we continue to support those who ask: not only by phone, but using data platforms such as Skype, facetime, whatsapp, etc. We have also enjoyed reaching out in more informal ways, too. Each and every single day, at 4pm UK time, we host an informal chit chat on fb live on our facebook page covering poetry, cartoons, quizzes, live music, and even bingo. Also, every single Monday and Thursday at 2pm, we host more formal webinars: Covid and PBC Q&A, or some aspect of living with PBC. Do please join our CEO, our Chair of our Medical Advisory Board and/or our Head of Education and Development for a digital event. Here is one example: https://lnkd.in/gsSEBb4 An introduction to PBC.

We have worked with Intercept for many years to improve the PBC arena, and it was a pleasure to work with them again at this conference- bringing together many industry experts and even more patients into helpful, compliant conversations that provide insight, understanding and hope for the future of PBC patients.

Joining the #PBCCommunity today to raise awareness about #PrimaryBiliaryCholangitis on #PBCDay2024. Too little is known about this rare condition, it is misunderstood, and the struggles of living with it every day is hidden. I struggled with my diagnosis in 2018 and still refuse to accept I’m battling the symptoms most days – I can’t ‘slow down’, it’s not me! It’s time healthcare providers started #ProvidingBetterCare #PBCWarrior #LivingWithPBC #PBCPeople #PBCAwarenessDay PBC Foundation

We are grateful to Ipsen for sharing these messages. PBC affects thousands of patients around the world, and we work hard to reach patients in their own language. Today we are in Chile working with ALEH to ensure more patients have access to the support they need. Thank you to Ipsen for supporting the PBC Day initiative, Providing Better Care.
Noi ci siamo. #Ipsen #PBC #RareDiseases #MalattieRare #ProvideBetterCare #PBCFoundation
