As part of IBM Maximo Application Suite, the ‘Visual Inspection’ application integrates with your asset management system, enabling you to make better decisions on resource allocation, maintenance, purchasing and many other business operations. Maximo Visual Inspection can also be used on mobile devices, enabling analysis of assets in the field, and you can easily switch between different modes – models, edge devices, or portable devices. Maximo Visual Inspection can help your organisation to take a significant step towards the goal of predictive maintenance, by automating image capture and analysis in most asset environments. This will improve your responsiveness to reliability, quality and safety issues, resulting in improved productivity, reduced downtime, increased safety, and better SLA compliance. A great day was had in Birmingham last week, as our very own Lee Turnbull joined Roger Kennedy and Jonathan Nichols at the Utility Week WWT Innovation and Smart Water event. There was plenty of interest in the work that our combined organisations do in the Water industry, both in the UK and worldwide. We hope to be back at another event soon! The time has arrived to upgrade your organisation’s #Maximo software. IBM has confirmed that it will stop supporting all Maximo 7.X versions from September 2025 onwards – meaning that, with a typical upgrade to MAS taking at least 12 months, your business needs to move quickly. So, if you aren’t thinking about upgrading yet… why not? Several of the UK’s largest companies have already completed their transition to Maximo Application Suite with the support of Peacock Engineering. We help you to explore all your options, including: • Switching your hosting system • Training your staff in the new technology • Establishing excellent mobile work processes • Assessing the new technology invested-in by IBM, and giving you a roadmap for improvement We would love to hear from any organisations that are considering the upgrade to MAS – or, alternatively, companies that don’t have any version of Maximo yet, but would like to explore its functionality and assess how you can benefit from the new technology that’s available. Get in touch today by emailing info@peluk.org to arrange a free demonstration. #maximoapplicationsuite #eam #enterpriseassetmanagement #IBM

Carrying out Inspections, Health and Safety checks, service reports and audits is a priority for organisations in all industries. Peacock Engineering (now part of BPD Zenith) created a mobile solution to make all of these things easier to achieve. Fingertip comes with leading-edge mobile forms capability which can be configured to match your requirements and works seamlessly with Maximo. This enables you, at-point-of-work, to: • Complete detailed inspections, checks & audits • Create follow-on work orders on the spot • Take photographs and record a signature sign-off • Ensure all processes are followed • Capture meter and calibrations readings • Capture work management data in real time • Access a time-stamped audit trail Fingertip’s mobile forms can use ‘conditional logic’, so that the next steps in the process are dependent on the outcome of the last step or steps. In the video below, we’ve summarised Fingertip’s ‘HSQE’ module, which is extremely effective for safety reporting. If your workforce is regularly operating in hazardous environments, this could be ideal for you… #fingertip #mobileworking #mobilesolutions #mobileapp
