🌟 World Mental Health Day with Mikey the Shih Tzu! 🐾 Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming Mikey to the Peartree head office. This charming little Shih Tzu spent the day brightening everyone’s spirits and even lent a paw in getting some work done! Today, as we recognise World Mental Health Day, the theme of workplace wellbeing resonates strongly with us. Research shows that a pet-friendly workplace can significantly enhance employee wellbeing and productivity. Having pets in the office can reduce stress and foster a more positive work environment. Mikey certainly made a positive impact on our team, and we’re delighted to share that he enjoyed his day at the office as well. After a full day of excitement and treats, he returned home for a well-deserved rest. We can’t wait to see him again! Max R. and Bradley Reames had a fantastic time in Lisbon on Thursday at the European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards! It was a great opportunity to catch up with so many familiar faces, Ceris Burns FCIM, Adam Speck, Dan Henstock and celebrate everyone's incredible achievements.   We are pleased to have been double finalists for the second year in a row – a reflection of the hard work and dedication of the entire Peartree team. ESG A-Z: This Week is V for Volunteering! At Peartree, we are dedicated to creating a positive social impact and volunteering is a vital part of our social value movement. As part of our commitment, we have proudly partnered with the Trussell Trust Brentwood, a local foodbank, for the past two years. Each week, a member of our head office team volunteers their time to help sort and distribute donations, ensuring that essential supplies reach those in need. To further our support, we’ve also set up donation points throughout our office, encouraging regular contributions from our staff. ESG A-Z: U for Single Use Plastics At Peartree, we are proud to continue our efforts in reducing single-use plastics. This week, we are highlighting the steps we've taken to significantly lower plastic use and CO2 emissions. By replacing pre-diluted 750ml trigger spray bottles with sustainable powder sachets for our core cleaning products, we've reduced plastic consumption by an impressive 88%. This shift has also resulted in a 75% decrease in average CO2 emissions and transportation costs. In addition, we source washroom paper products exclusively from eco-conscious suppliers, further reinforcing our commitment to sustainability. #Sustainability #ESG #PeartreePlanet

This week, continuing our ESG A-Z journey, we’re highlighting T for Tonnes of CO2.   In 2021, Peartree’s total carbon footprint was 49.6 tonnes of CO2e. By the end of 2022, we successfully reduced this to 36.8 tonnes of CO2e — a substantial reduction of around 32%! This marks a significant step towards making our operations more sustainable.   A large part of this achievement comes from our partnership with neutral carbon zone, who have helped us accurately measure our emissions and implement strategies to reduce them. Their guidance has been essential in helping us reach this milestone and aim for even more.   We remain committed to finding new ways to reduce our environmental impact and contribute to a more sustainable future. #Sustainability #CarbonFootprint #ESG
