Co-Founder Peerr and The Scrubbed In Podcast | Building a Network for Health & Life Sciences

What does the next 5 years look like when it comes to healthcare, data and analytics + how do we take advantage according to Hassan Chaudhury HonFAPM 🤔 Top 5 Trends: 1. More effort to curate or pre-curate data (rather than leave the data as is until its required) 2. Embracing multimodal data insight (because we are digitising different modes of data) 3. Sharing digital infrastructure and resources (due to the high set up costs) 4. Data now has value again (especially if we bargain collectively) 5. More industry partnerships (with clarity on our terms) https://lnkd.in/e2WaQbw8 This article can also be read in AnalystX monthly newsletter!

Cofounder Peerr | Connecting the Health and Life Sciences world | NHS Clinical Entrepreneur | Podcast: The Scrubbed in Show

☄️ Peerr AI has arrived. You see we live in a world of content, information and resource overload. 🚩 Content is everywhere and as a result of that we spend far too long in the search and discover phase. Whether it's primary research, industry news, medical education, trends, reports or thought leaders in the space posting their opinions - they are scattered everywhere. But what if there was a better way - specifically in our world, the Health and Life Sciences. ✨ What if we could bring relevant content to your finger tips from all of those sources out there. ✨ What if you could spend more time being selective, digging into the original pieces, learning and understanding more to then focus on application more. 🚀 This is the job for Peerr AI. Peerr AI searches, summarises and gives you the source of content in the Health and Life Sciences world for you. …oh and btw Instead of it being one-way content, our mission is to turn news into conversations. Peerr is now your first point of call to keep up to date in the Health and Life Sciences. Our next goals 🎯 Improve the algorithm and get it tailored to a users needs 🎯 We want to empower the community to voice their opinions and thoughts on content 🎯 We need a name for the AI My request to you all 🙏 Feedback, feedback feedback, tell us whats good, bad and ugly and lets together build the best health and life sciences network. #AI #HealthAndLifeSciences #ProfessionalNetwork #Doctors #Healthcareprofessionals #Pharmacists #Nurses #HealthTech #LifeSciences #BioTech #Research

Another great webinar from Peerr. The topic was "Are we putting too much faith in AI" Yes religion was a mentioned in this thought provoking conversation with Hassan Chaudhury HonFAPM Jessica Rose Morley, PhD and Keith Grimes Below is my summary of the key points and 3 great quotes. 1) Healthcare Challenges: Global healthcare systems face common issues like aging populations, staffing shortages, and limited financial resources. Simply increasing funding often fails to improve outcomes, as shown in comparisons between countries like the US and UK. 2) AI in Healthcare (P4 Medicine): AI holds potential to make healthcare more predictive, personalised, preventative, and participatory, but achieving the ideal "Triple Aim" (improving outcomes, enhancing patient experience, and reducing costs) is unlikely to succeed simultaneously. 3) Practical AI Applications: AI is most beneficial in improving operational efficiency and automating administrative tasks, such as processing free-text data in health records. 4) AI Hype vs. Reality: While AI shows promise, there are limits, and over-reliance, especially in clinical decision-making, risks undermining healthcare professionals’ expertise. 5) Venture Capital's Role: VC funding fuels innovation but often pressures companies to oversell AI’s capabilities, leading to unrealistic goals without solid evidence. 6) Leadership in AI and Healthcare: Effective leadership requires deep expertise in both healthcare and AI, emphasising the need for expert-led decision-making. 7) Overconfidence in AI: There is too much faith in AI at the expense of other critical healthcare investments, such as staff wages and infrastructure improvements. A balanced approach is necessary for sustainable healthcare innovation. Here are 3 key quotes...... On AI and healthcare promises: "You might be able to reduce per capita costs, but you will not improve the experience of care. Or you might be able to improve outcomes, but you won’t reduce per capita costs. So that’s why I think you’ll end up with a wonky triangle." On AI’s potential in practical applications: "Generative AI is really good at being able to semantically interpret the stuff that’s in the free text. So I think we will get a lot of leverage in sort of back-end operational non-sexy stuff." On over-reliance on AI: "Anything that we invest in AI is money that is taken away from investing in other solutions, including human solutions, including paying our staff more. We are getting perilously close to putting all our eggs in one basket." #innovation #technology #future TO WATCH CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW https://lnkd.in/ePMkwi5X Abdul Rahyead
