We are Pelican Healthcare, a leading manufacturer of disposable medical products for the UK healthcare market. Manufacturing disposable products for stoma care has been our speciality since the company was formed in 1994. In 2007, Pelican Healthcare was bought by T G Eakin Limited, a world-renowned producer of specialist medical adhesives and wound care products. We are now part of the Eakin Healthcare Group of companies and our stoma care products are available under the Eakin brand in an increasing number of international locations.

Today marks the launch of Eakin Healthcare’s second annual Sustainability Summary, celebrating the significant strides we’ve made towards our goal of reaching net zero by 2045. Our theme, #EverybodysBusiness, highlights the belief that for us to succeed, everyone must play their part in driving sustainability forward. Key achievements from the report include an increase in the use of renewable electricity, which now accounts for 86% of total consumption, and a 10% increase in self-generated renewable electricity. These milestones reflect Eakin Healthcare’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact while continuing to deliver life-enhancing and life-saving medical devices. We believe that by sharing our progress and problems, it will encourage more companies and communities to collaborate and learn alongside us.
