From Paris to Pentair! We were thrilled to host Minnesota Lynx player and two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Napheesa Collier at Pentair this week. As part of our Changemakers partnership with the Minnesota Lynx WNBA team, Napheesa joined Karla Robertson to discuss leadership lessons from on and off the court and the importance of cultivating the next generation of female leaders. Pentair employees partnered with Project Scientist, a 2023 Pentair Foundation grant recipient that works primarily with girls ages 4-12, to demonstrate the possibilities open to them in STEM fields. Pentair hosted Expeditions in Apex, North Carolina, and Golden Valley, Minnesota, where students learned about career opportunities in STEM and participated in hands-on activities connecting Pentair’s work to what they are learning this summer. Pentair Pool is a proud sponsor of Step Into Swim, a non-profit initiative of the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) dedicated to creating more swimmers through safe swim education. Earlier this week, Rowdy Gaines, PHTA Vice President of Partnerships & Development, U.S. Olympian, and the leader of the Step Into Swim initiative, stopped by the Pentair U.S. main office in Golden Valley, Minnesota, to talk with employees about the importance of swim safety and thank them for the support of this important initiative.
