Our experience is extensive across the UK, having worked with over 100 local authorities, 20 health organisations and successfully delivered well over 100 transformation programmes. Whilst it's good news that £1bn is being allocated from the budget to SEND and the High Needs Block, it represents about one-quarter of the current national deficit. If, as expected, most councils use all of their allocation to 'pay off' some of their current deficit, this will be a massive missed opportunity. It won't solve the problem, it will only marginally slow it down. We would urge councils and partners to look at how they can invest the funding as part of a clear and modelled long-term plan to bring their deficit down sustainably. The system needs transformation and this cash injection presents a real opportunity to invest in preventative services that can improve outcomes and reduce DSG spend not only now but in the future - even more critical, given there was no news about extending the Statutory Override. https://lnkd.in/ev28HfUm

Celebrating 15 Years of Peopletoo: A Journey of Growth and Impact I have been so immersed in the day to day, I hadn’t realised that I had reached a landmark 15 years as Chief Executive of Peopletoo until I started to read the messages from friends and colleagues! Reflecting on the past 15 years, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude, and have enjoyed every moment of working with incredible likeminded people across the sector and of course within Peopletoo. This marks 15 incredible years of partnering with organisations to create lasting impact and drive sustainable change. What began as a vision round the kitchen table with my co-founder Mike Butler, has grown into a thriving consultancy that has touched countless lives through our work in local government, health, education, and the voluntary sector. As a woman leader, I am particularly proud of the strides we’ve made in fostering an inclusive and empowering workplace. Together, we’ve navigated challenges, celebrated successes, and continuously strived to make a positive impact. We have enjoyed working with Warwickshire County Council as its trusted partner for many years. During this time, we have worked with colleagues, partners, children and young people, as well as parents and carers, on several programs aimed at improving outcomes for children, young people, and their families. Our key focus areas have included SEND, mental health, early help, and prevention.
