To meet the demands of our changing energy landscape, we will need to be creative. And that creativity was on full display at the Perkins Peterborough Upcycling Competition this summer. Employees were encouraged to think outside of the box and give a new life to old materials. We loved this miniature garden bed, Christmas sleigh, and plant shed, all made of materials that could have gone to a landfill!

From assembly to installation, we’re at the final stage of following our first-ever E44 Auxiliary Marine Engine on every step of its journey from the build line to the boat. Next up: With the installation complete the vessel goes through sea trials and handover to its owner. During the sea trial, the Power Drive Marine generator set powered by the Perkins E44 is put through its paces as all the systems (exhaust, water and fuel) are checked. Technicians from Multico Power Drive Pte Ltd (MPD) are onboard for this to ensure everything is working correctly. Great news – it does! Unity of Majestic is ready to go into service as a passenger ferry operating in South Asia. The Captain and Engineers have access to MPD Aftersales Support Programme that operates 365 days a year. Here, MPD Technicians based in Batam and Singapore use their technical product knowledge with accessibility to genuine replacement parts, to offer swift and responsive support over the phone and in person, at sea or in port.
