UK Manufacturer of Photopolymer Resins, LCD 3D printers & 3D parts. Specialist in large format & AM volume solutions.
About us
Photocentric has been manufacturing photopolymer resin since 2002 and are world-leaders in visible light polymerisation. For nearly two decades, Photocentric has prioritised innovation at the centre of our corporate culture, creating new products for the printing industry. Our patented technology has enabled us to become the leading and most trusted company in making crystal clear craft stamps, both in the UK and the USA. In 2014 we started our journey into 3D printing with the use of LCD screens as the selective light source to harden visible light photopolymer. This has proven to be our company’s greatest innovation and commercial success so far. This technology is starting to change wider volume manufacturing not just additive manufacturing. Today, we are delivering on our early ambition of using screens to enable custom mass manufacture. This vision has become a reality through the application of a large number of our LC Magna printers and autonomous JENI system. Our aim is always to deliver order of magnitude improvements for the customer in terms of cost, productivity and reliability. Our chemical development partnership with Forward AM is delivering on the promise of producing usable functional (cost effective) parts. We are applying this disruptive technology to a wide variety of industries including automotive, dental, aerospace, industrial and more recently props and art with our very large format LC Titan printer.

Sounds like it is a great show and Sylatech Limited had great interest in their AM casting solutions. It's not too late to drop by if you are at Advanced Engineering UK today!
Our team are thrilled to be exhibiting at Advanced Engineering UK today! Join us at stand V198 in hall 3A, or our stall at the Silverstone Technology Cluster VIP area, as we showcase our innovative lost-wax casting and additive manufacturing solutions (created in collaboration with Photocentric and Metamorphic AM). Our sales team are on-hand to answer any questions you may have, and we welcome the opportunity for face-to-face meetings! For more information please contact us at engineer@sylatech.com or +44 (0) 1751 432 355. #innovation #casting #foundry #additivemanufacturing #advancedengineering #advancedengineeringuk #advancedengineeringshow #Sylatech

Another LC Titan printer installed and making the production of very large, high resolution parts easier for this manufacturer. Theme parks, props for stores, films, sculpture, architectural displays - LC Titan enables the 3D printing of larger pieces (up to 1.2m Z height), so reducing assembly & finishing work from printing multiple smaller pieces. The 8k screen means the beautiful surface finish is a plus. See LC Titan and some parts in person at Formnext - Where ideas take shape in Frankfurt next month. #LCTITAN #largeformat3Dprinting #props

At a recent charity lunch, Leicester Tigers Rugby Club celebrated team success, remembering 2001/2 when they won the Heineken cup in back to back years. Many members of the winning teams were present, including Martin Johnson, who of course, also captained England to World Cup glory in 2003! Photocentric was invited to make replica trophies using LC Magna (replicas for players to keep) and LC Titan (life size trophy). We understand a good time was had by all! #Heinekencup #LCTITAN #LCMagna #3dprintedtrophies

We are starting to prepare for Formnext - Where ideas take shape and needed a new table. With #LCTitan we were able to easily print these table legs. Note no supports needed & you could print 10 legs in one build if needed. Maybe we should make some more tables! Looking forward to the show already..

Check dan nu de website. https://lnkd.in/eYeSE8qe Next week, 3D Next Level will be at the Kunststoffenbeurs in the Brabanthallen. We would love to tell you more about what 3D printing can already do today. 3D printing offers far more possibilities for the plastics industry than just prototyping. At 3D Next Level, we 3D print parts for the industry. Visit us at Stand 180C (AM Production Plaza), where we will explain everything about our methods, materials, and the fast lead times of 3D printing. Large Format Additive Manufacture (LFAM) advocate 🔸 Engineered CNC Kits Guru! 🔸| Core Kits | Pre-Preg Kits | Dry Fibre Kits | 3D Printing & LFAM | CNC Machining | Waterjet Cutting
Running trials with high-temperature resin 3D printed mould tools. These initial tests are wet lay, but next steps are bagged and pre-preg iterations to see behaviour under pressure and temperature. The resin should be good to 230 degrees without distortion. Initial results show good end-part accuracy and definition, and minimal tool finishing/prep required. The larger orange hatch tool had NO surface finishing after 3D printing - just treated with release agent and moulded from directly. You can see the extent of print marks carried over to the moulded part in the third image. Later steps will include sanding the tool to improve finish, but we wanted to see what finish was achievable straight off the print with only release agent prep work. The smaller clear dish tool was sanded to 1000 grit to achieve the finish of the moulded dish. Thanks to Agustin Soriano and Photocentric for the support with this project.
