We are thrilled to bring you an update from our JV working partners Alderley Group on the significant progress made at the Pomeroy Court development. Alderley Group’s commitment to excellence and timely execution continues to drive outstanding results on this project. The main roof of Pomeroy Court is now fully completed and watertight and the main scaffold strike is now completed, allowing ground works to commence around the building's perimeter. The attenuation tank has been ordered and is ready for installation, ensuring that Alderley Group meet their environmental management commitments. The installation of windows is proceeding smoothly, enhancing the building's aesthetic and functional attributes. Internally, the construction of metal frame (MF) walls and ceilings is nearing completion, aligning seamlessly with the overall project timeline. The mechanical teams have successfully executed the first fix in line with the scheduled program. Electrical installations in the apartments are progressing well, keeping pace with the project demands. The integration of the dry riser and sprinkler systems is effectively coordinated, ensuring safety measures are prioritized and implemented efficiently. Additionally, the automatic opening vents (AOVs) have been installed on the roof, further advancing the safety infrastructure. Pinnacle Group remain dedicated to maintaining transparency and sharing regular updates from Alderley Group. The cladding and brickwork are approaching completion, and the final decoration and joinery work is proceeding efficiently. Kitchens and appliances are fully installed, and all electrical and water connections, including chlorination, are finalised. Lift commissioning is on track for completion in July. Housebuilding and Planning: Labour has prioritised housing with a commitment to build 1.5 million new homes over five years. The Planning and Infrastructure Bill will streamline the planning process, expedite infrastructure projects, and reform compulsory purchase order rules. This move is expected to stimulate economic growth by addressing housing shortages and improving infrastructure, creating substantial opportunities for investors in the real estate and construction sectors. Employment Rights: As part of Labour’s “New Deal for Working People,” this bill introduces several changes to employment law. It bans zero-hour contracts, ends “fire and rehire” practices, and strengthens statutory sick pay and parental leave. These measures aim to enhance worker stability and productivity, making the UK a more attractive environment for businesses and investors by ensuring a fair workplace.
