Plykea is a UK founded company that designs and manufactures high-quality, plywood kitchen and wardrobe fronts and worktops for IKEA cabinets in both the UK and the US. This unique combination of IKEA and Plykea products creates a one-of-a-kind beautiful space that blends function with style. Products are crafted in-house at our workshop at Here East, London, with a focus on quality and sustainability. We work directly with homeowners and also in partnership with architects, interior designers and contractors on one-off residential projects or larger scale developments - no project is too big! Co-founded by two friends; Digital Design Director and start-up expert Tim Diacon and Designer Maker and former Vitsoe Head of production Adam Vergette. ✨ Why hire an interior designer? It’s more than just creating a beautiful space – it's about support, solutions, and turning challenges into opportunities. ✨ A home renovation can be overwhelming, and that’s where I come in. I’m not just designing – I’m your partner, sounding board, and problem solver through every step of the process. Take Debbie and Simon, for example. They had a vision for their 60’s “new build,” but budget constraints and design dreams required some creativity. Together, we found the perfect balance by using Plykea for bespoke designs with flat pack carcasses, and selected Fenix (carbon neutral!) and Durat countertops made from recycled plastic. The result?
