𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 & 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝗦𝗢 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀? Ratings and reviews are amongst the most important ranking factors for your app, but are often overlooked and misunderstood. In our latest blog, you'll find out how ratings and reviews impact ASO and what you can do about it. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀: • If you have a poor rating (or no ratings), you are going to find it extremely difficult to rank highly. • Don’t be afraid to ask! You should prompt your users for feedback and ratings. • Figure out what is annoying your users and do your best to fix it (as quickly as possible). • Make sure you reply to reviews (good and bad). In a recent webinar, Becky Baker talked to us about the key lessons she's learned as a founder. She shared tips and advice for aspiring entrepreneurs to survive the first 12 months post-raise and build a successful start-up. 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 Once you have your funding in place, the temptation is to leap into building your product in a rush to get it to market as soon as possible. The research phase is vital and should not be rushed. 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙣 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 When you are so close to your start-up and vision, it can be incredibly difficult to be flexible and be willing to pivot to what research tells you. However, getting ‘product-market fit’ is the most important thing. 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲-𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 Don’t build until you have validated as much of your idea as you possibly can. It can be hard not to be biased, but a solid phase of research will deliver a better product. 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘀 Once you are live, be crystal clear about your KPIs and what success looks like for your product. Keep checking in against these and don't be fooled by vanity metrics. Every wondered why app reviews are so important? Reviews can play a key role in your App Store Optimisation work. Here are a few ways that app reviews can impact your ASO efforts: 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳 Reviews are invaluable in helping other users decide whether to download your app, which directly impacts your download conversion rate. 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 Users will usually identify the features they love in their review. Highlight the most loved / standout features in your app description, screenshots and videos to drive conversions. 𝗞𝗲𝘆𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀! There is some evidence that keywords used in your app store reviews can have a positive impact on your ranking. 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘀 The best-performing apps take the time to reply. Responding to negative feedback can be an opportunity to fix problems and impress users. A 1 star review could be changed to a 5 star review by responding to users’ frustrations. An exciting update on one of our co-founder projects, Voxu developed by Anna Scandella, Matej Képeš and Josh Mustafa. As you may know, Pocketworks invests in side projects to help individuals learn new skills and share knowledge so they can achieve success with their ventures.   Voxu is a product for the growing global wedding market, helping couples make their wedding or special occasion truly unique and memorable. It's a digital audio guestbook that enables couples to receive heartfelt messages (and selfies!) from the people they love, directly from their phone. No extra hardware, no shipping. Behind the scenes, it is built on modern and accessible web technologies and uses AI to denoise and transcribe audio. All hosted on scalable, low cost and secure infrastructure. Yesterday, the Voxu team launched on Product Hunt - the website that helps surface the best new tech & digital products. We've had lots of interest and engagement so far and the app is creating lots of discussion in the community! Please support the Voxu team by heading over to Product Hunt to check it out and learn more about Voxu (https://lnkd.in/eb_sWBft). Or, please share with any couples you know planning to tie the knot! #ProductHunt #voxu #CoFounderProjects

Director of User Experience @ Pocketworks Mobile

Last year, a few weeks before my wedding day, Matej Képeš and I came up with a digital alternative to the audio guestbook I had been trying really hard to make work. We asked Josh Mustafa to join the team, and thanks to the Pocketworks co-founder scheme and Tobin Harris' support, we released the first version to the public in February. 🫶 Three wedding shows and 43 booked weddings later, we have launched Voxu on Product Hunt, too. 💍 Check us out! https://lnkd.in/dNGtNwQx
