POPAI UK & Ireland was asked to contribute to inspire and educate Boots UK colleagues at their UK HQ with SUSTAIN® - Environmental Design Calculator where we showcased the sustainability credentials of Boots in-store displays. Working with Linney we created two of their in-store displays, one shelf top and one free standing display unit (FSDU). Participants had to guess the display weight as part of an interactive game, but the more serious discussion was around their sustainability impact. We discussed how SUSTAIN® tool works to Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) principles and calculates CO2e, water, recycled material content across the key areas of design, supply chain logistics, materials and processes, recycled content, delivery logistics and end of life. Thanks to the Boots team, Candice Smith, Beki Moore, Emma Rowles and Andy Bodley plus the support of the Linney Team. #recyclenow Steve Lister, Martin Kingdon, Emma Lawton
