As a NEBOSH tutor I'm often asked about teaching methods and style. I believe in a face to face classroom experience for this type of course. There is a place for online learning, in my opinion, if you are academic. If not, a classroom can be a great experience to learn from your peers and the experience of the tutor is on hand. I've attached a short video to explain what it means in practice to comply with an element of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, section 2c, Information, Instruction, Training and Supervision! If you complete these tasks then you have fulfilled your basic duties to your workforce. I can defend that! NEBOSH General Certificate starts this Friday, 13th September, at North Lindsey College and the University Campus North Lincolnshire (UCNL). Information relating to NPORS #accredited training categories where funding will be available under the CITB Levy If you plan on applying for #CITB #funding against your #training, #NPORS must be notified by selecting ‘Yes’ to the funded option at the point of notification to them. We complete the NPORS notification as soon as your #booking is secured with us. Therefore, if you plan to claim for the NPORS training under the CITB Levy you need to let us know at the point of booking. If the information is not provided at point of booking, ‘No’ will be automatically selected when we notify NPORS. Claiming when ‘No’ has been selected could impact your funding claim and may result in potential sanctions. Attached for your information are the 8 NPORS categories available to claim against under the Levy scheme.
