    Mayor of the Tees Valley

LOCAL JOBS 🤝 LOCAL PEOPLE Over the past six years my mission as Mayor has been to attract large scale investment and jobs to Teesside, Darlington and Hartlepool. This is now happening, and don't just take my word for it, go and take a look at the steel and factories going up across the area. This new investment is great news, but it MUST be for benefit of people across Teesside, Darlington and Hartlepool. That is why we have to focus on connecting our next generation to these fantastic opportunities and this £2.5m going to our local colleges is part of doing just that. We need young people in Teesside, Darlington and Hartlepool to have the skills, knowhow and experience to take on the thousands of jobs in industries of the future. This is the challenge that faces us. And as with everything else, it is one we will tackle head on!
