  • 🚀 PrecisionLife wins €2.5m EIC grant to transform endometriosis triage & treatment with unique precision medicine insights 🎉 We’re thrilled to announce that #ProjectTRANSCEND has been awarded a multi-million grant from the European Innovation Council (EIC)! Endometriosis is a complex and debilitating disease affecting 190 million women worldwide, yet diagnosis takes an average of 8–10 years through invasive laparoscopic surgery. This must change. TRANSCEND will develop and clinically validate a rapid, non-invasive precision medicine test using a simple buccal swab. This test will: ✅ Evaluate an individual’s lifetime risk of endometriosis ✅ Uncover disease mechanisms to guide personalized treatments ✅ Enable faster, more accurate triage and specialist referrals ✅ Accelerate repurposed drug trials for better treatment options Our mission is clear: ✔️ Triage & refer faster ✔️ Treat more effectively ✔️ Improve millions of lives Huge thanks to the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) for recognizing the urgency of addressing this global health challenge. With this support, we’re working to close the diagnostic gap, improve patient health outcomes, and reduce the cost of care. 🔗 Read more: https://lnkd.in/ez3KHhhA #EndometriosisAwareness #PrecisionMedicine #WomensHealth #EICAccelerator #EUeic #ProjectTRANSCEND

😷 Do you know anyone that got COVID-19 and never really recovered? March 15th marked International Long COVID Awareness Day. This debilitating condition is estimated to affect at least 65 million people and is increasing annually, creating a rising healthcare burden of over $1 trillion globally. Long COVID has a variety of commonalities with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS), a complex, chronic illness characterised by profound fatigue that is not improved by rest and worsens with physical or mental activity. However, in spite of their enormous personal and public health impacts, we still have no tools to accurately diagnose patients and no drugs that treat the underlying causes of the diseases. UK precision medicine company PrecisionLife uses AI and combinatorial analytics to uncover deeper genetic associations, revealing hidden patterns in complex diseases. I recently met co-founder and CEO Steve Gardner at the Hevolution Foundation Global Healthspan Summit in Riyadh, where he shared how their insights are driving progress in diagnosing and treating Long COVID and other chronic diseases.
