Civil engineer, Hugo, was part of two teams on a mission to clean up Cody Dock last weekend. Hugo was part of the towpath cleanup team, which all together picked up about 20 bin bags full of rubbish (and at least 7 footballs). The only thing stopping them was that they ran out of bags! www.codydock.org.uk

The Stevenage Life Science Quarter project is set to enhance Stevenage's burgeoning status as an epicentre for life sciences in the UK. Price & Myers are providing structural and civil engineering services for this ambitious project, which aims to revitalise the town centre while creating state of the art facilities for the life sciences sector. We are thrilled to see the proposals for the reinvigoration of Williamson Square gaining momentum. The project looks at how a refurbishment of the Playhouse could be an exemplar for similar age theatres worldwide, demonstrating that you can improve the environmental credentials of a listed building and its accessibility, while also acting as a catalyst for a cultural regeneration of its surrounding area. A big step forward in reducing embodied carbon in structures at the earliest stages when the impact is greatest. This Trimble/Tekla interface now allows those design options to be taken straight into analysis software for the next stage of development, or simply to get good 3D models for those early stage design option reports.
