Wow, what a week! 🤩 We wrapped up our British Science Week engineer interviews with a fantastic chat with Mariya (Marsha) Ilina, a Design and Certification Engineer at Boeing! She showed us how her love for art and maths took her soaring into aviation ✈️ Marsha's message? Engineering is everywhere! It's art, it's sports, it's people – it's life! And your passions can be your superpower in engineering. Her top tips: ⭐ Don’t force yourself into a box ⭐ Take inspiration from the world around you ⭐ Be curious And just like that, our live engineer interview series for this academic year has concluded! Time truly flew by! Our live engineer interviews bridge the gap, bring diverse engineering professionals virtually into classrooms, and give pupils the chance to ask questions that matter to them. We've been thrilled by the incredible line-up of engineering and technology professionals and the insightful questions from pupils, huge thank you to everyone involved! 🙌 While this series wraps up for now, we'll be back in September! Full house yesterday for our Primary Engineer Rail Programme teacher training in Huddersfield with a new cohort of teachers and our partner The Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) 🚆 These teachers learnt all the skills required to teach engineering in their classrooms. The full-day training was highly practical & informative and not only provided training but also increased their confidence in delivering STEM based whole class projects. On Tuesday, we were in Salford with Morson Group for our Primary Engineer Rail Programme Celebration Event! 🚆   The pupils creativity and problem-solving skills were on full display as they put their rail models to the test and celebrated their achievements. Morson Group engineers interviewed the pupils who were bursting to share the research they had carried out to build their models, their favourite parts of the programme and all the things they learnt!
