We were proud to accept the London's Leading Outperformer award from Gracechurch Consulting last week.   As part of their London's Leading Underwriter Report, the award was a result of our underwriters receiving the highest aggregate number of nominations for a given market share, across all classes of business.   Antony Dodson, CUO at Probitas said, "Attracting top talent in the marketplace and, crucially, providing an ecosystem and culture to thrive in, has always been a cornerstone of the Probitas strategy. The 2024 London’s Leading Underwriters Report garners around 500 underwriter nominations, covering over 800 individual underwriters from over 110 insurance companies. Underwriters are nominated by a representative cross-section of underwriting peers from across all main business classes and separately, brokers working in the London Market. Underwriters are then ranked according to the number of endorsements each receives for being regarded as market leaders.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Robbin Botnick to initiate the process of setting up a Service Company based in Toronto, Canada. Probitas has already invested in building distribution/underwriting platforms in Mexico, Brussels, Australia and in Manchester (UK). We are delighted to announce that Lloyd’s has given formal approval for the AdA SPA 2024 to underwrite for 2024. “This is another step forward for Probitas as we continue to grow and diversify our business whist maintaining strong focus on delivering market leading underwriting performance”  commented Antony Dodson, Chief Underwriting Officer.   The AdA Team are also pleased to announce the appointment of Ed Abbott to be Head of Marine and Energy Liability. Ed spent 7 years at the Hartford Syndicate starting as Practice Lead before becoming Head of Marine and Energy Liability in 2020. Prior to that he spent 6 years at XL Catlin working on the Marine and Energy Liability account.   Natasha Jodrell, MD AdA, added “The Marine and Energy Liability Account will form an integral part of the AdA SPA 2024.
