Professional Investment Group (PIG)

The Professional Investment Group (PIG) was launched by Angelos Sanders in 2013 where it was known then as Plymouth Investment Group. PIG started in Angelos’ living room with a few enthusiastic people sat around a roaring fireplace. This provided a space where everyone could interact with one another and share inspirational insights about their own stories of investing. Angelos set out to build and grow a strong community bringing together entrepreneurs and professionals to support and learn from one another; something which at the time did not exist in Plymouth. PIG meetings facilitated a monthly opportunity for people to learn and share about investing in property and other various investing strategies. Four years later and the group has outgrown the living room by many times. Two larger venues later, we are based in The Boringdon Hall Hotel & Spa, to meet the popularity of our community which now exceeds 500 members. PIG’s goal has always been to facilitate and support a vibrant and active community whose members follow our core principles to Learn, Inspire, Share and Act (LISA) when investing. This gave our PIG mascot her name – Lisa! A recent and exciting development is the PIG Membership which provides investors who are serious about growing their business a ready made tried and tested Power Team of local businesses and professionals to and harness the expertise that they need to turbo charge their business to success. PIG Plymouth, PIG Exeter and PIG Cornwall have also been featured in various local and national publications and has attracted high quality local and national speakers who come and share their expertise with the group every month. The group has had many successes, from members offering encouragement, practical support, and expertise, to working together on successful joint ventures. PIG’s work has attracted respected many keen local sponsors who recognise the quality and value the monthly meetings and community.
