Join our campaign for #plasticFreeRamadan in 2023 at the UK House of Lords hosted by Lord Newby OBE The workshop will help raise awareness, showcase successful pilot projects and explore various solutions to the challenges of single use plastic. This will be a great opportunity to network, exchange dialogue and ideas to become more sustainable. It provides participants with the ability to seek alternatives against single-use plastic and become the community hub for encouraging conservation, recycling, and reusable water bottles.  #DidYouKnow One million single-use plastic bottles are bought around the world every minute & it takes about 450 years just for one plastic bottle to break down in the ground.  #PlasticPollution is one of the biggest threats to our environment, marine life and natural habitat- it has and can cause many known and unknown negative impacts in our health and well-being.  It is also discovered in our food cycle and new-born babies. We must take further responsibility of its usage and disposal.  In #Islam, #conservation of the environment and life is the duty of the custodian of the planet (mankind). 117 sacks of plastic waste were removed from the Casuarina forest near Cox's Bazar beach, Bangladesh The cleanup operation occurred on Friday, August 12, from 10 AM and lasted throughout the day, involving 120 young men and women. The cleanup started in the morning at the Kobita Chattar area of the beach and extended up to Shaibal Beach.
