The 2025 pharmaceutical award is now open for entries 🏆 Entries are now being accepted for the 2025 Award for Statistical Excellence in the Pharmaceutical Industry, presented jointly by the RSS and Statisticians in the Pharmaceutical Industry (PSI). This award celebrates a piece of work that has successfully met the needs of researchers and investigators through either the application of statistical practices to new areas or advancements in the design of investigations. Last year’s winner was the GSK Biostatistics team for their innovative use of Bayesian Dynamic Borrowing in a commercial setting. They synthesised new and existing data to enhance efficiency while upholding rigorous standards for regulatory decision-making: https://zurl.co/Wxqwr The 2025 award will be presented at PSI’s annual conference, scheduled to be held in London from 8–11 June. The social activities are a key component of the #PSIConference2025 😀 There are events included within the delegate full conference registration fee on the three evenings of the conference. If you attending all three days of the conference and are interested in attending the events please ensure that you add these on when completing the registration process. The social events will give everyone the chance to catch up and engage with colleagues outside of the sessions. The PSI conference is well known for its networking and social elements. There will be plenty of time to mingle in the Exhibitors area during the breaks/lunch and at the Poster session. In addition, we have social events planned for each evening! The second session of the 2024/2025 ITIT course was a huge success. A massive thank you to ICON plc for hosting the session on data management and CRO at their Swansea site for the second consecutive year running. Bethan Thomas put together a great session involving a bidding workshop where the delegates used their creativity to come up with their own CRO and bid against each, as well as learning about the processes data management follow. In the evening, the delegates enjoyed a lovely meal and some explored the local beach. Thank you for hosting a great session! 😀

The Professional Development Committee are looking for two new chairs for the Lunch and Learn webinars. Lunch and Learn is held quarterly covering hot topics of discussion such as Imposter Syndrome, changing leadership styles due to hybrid working and AI. The role would include: ⭐Organizing and chairing webinars with support from Moore Engage ⭐ Identifying topics of interest and associated speakers for each webinar ⭐ Advertising webinars and collaborating with organizers of other Professional Development activities As the topics can be broad, we are looking for chairs with a large network they can reach out to, to find speakers. They will also need to feel comfortable chairing the webinars which are recorded. Time requirement each month is an average of 3-5 hours.
