Earlier this year, we hosted our “Psoriasis on the Skin” photoshoot. The campaign was a huge success, and our photographer, Kaye Ford, did an amazing job of capturing authentic images of psoriasis. 📸 We had lots of the #PsoCommunity get involved, who built connections with one another and shared their experiences of living with psoriasis. The images will be used in a variety of ways, and in particular to update our new leaflet series, which was launched during #PsoriasisAwarenessWeek #PAW24. The Psoriasis Association is the leading national membership organisation for people affected by psoriasis: patients, families, carers and health professionals, in the United Kingdom. We run a helpline service for people who need information, advice and support and we have a comprehensive range of material available. This includes a selection of leaflets and fact sheets as well as a website and material specifically for teenagers. We also publish a quarterly member's magazine of up-to-date news. Our website is home to a forum, which is great for peer to peer support and advice, while you can also find us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Our helpline can be reached by calling us on 01604 251 620, or emailing us at mail@psoriasis-association.org.uk and is available between 9am-4pm Monday to Friday. We also offer a WhatsApp helpline which operates between 9am-5 Monday to Thursday and 9am-4.30pm Friday. The Psoriasis Association is a Registered Charity in England and Wales (no.1180666) and in Scotland (SC039886).

🌟 As Psoriasis Awareness Week 2024 comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on how living with Psoriasis has shaped my life over the years—and how it continues to affect me today. This year’s theme, Community, has reminded me of those around me who have made this easier to bear. My family and friends have offered constant support, encouragement, and strength during the toughest times. This has given me the courage to be more open about my struggles and share my psychological expertise with others facing similar challenges. One of the most rewarding aspects has been collaborating with my children, who have not only helped me build my website but also created wonderful animations and videos. I'm excited to share the latest animation, created by my daughter, based on a section on cognitive behavioural therapy from my book.
