But we’re saying them anyway — because we’re obsessed with this remote eden 600km off the Australian coast 🌴 🤯 More than enough to earn the PUREist badge 🙌 It’s two houses actually, for four guests each on Lord Howe Island. The mid-century interiors are dazzling: chairs, cabinets and bookcases in dark wood, accented by the jungle through the windows. Last week we held our PURE Awards Judging Event at the maginificent Heckfield Place! 🌳 🗣 We brought together some of the greatest editors, journalists and storytellers in experiential travel to review submissions for each of our four awards categories: Creativity, Conservation, Community and Change-Maker. Here they shortlisted our 12 finalists, with the final four winners chosen later in the year by our whole community. Congratulations to Mike McHugo 👏 🚵♂️ Last month, at 70 years old, he completed an astonishing 1,000 km bike ride across Morocco to raise funds for a new, specially-equipped ambulance in the Atlas Mountains! This service will be a lifeline for communities throughout the Imlil Valley.
