I’m excited to announce that Steve will be attending an 18-Hour Advanced Outdoor First Aid Course on October 29th and 30th, 2024! This course is designed for First Aid trainers looking to deliver the 16-hour ICT Outdoor First Aid course. Over these two days, Steve will be gaining advanced skills in incident management, triage, CPR, shock treatment, and dealing with injuries and medical emergencies in remote settings. Steve will also be learning how to set up and run practical assessments, as well as understanding the resources needed to deliver an exceptional Outdoor First Aid course. This training will provide Steve with the knowledge and qualifications needed to assess and deliver Outdoor First Aid training to others. Steve is looking forward to this opportunity to deepen his skills and bring this expertise back to my teaching! 01484 546780 info@purpledogltd.co.uk www.purpledogltd.co.uk

In assessing your first-aid needs, you should consider: * the nature of the work you do * workplace hazards and risks (including specific hazards requiring special arrangements) * the nature and size of your workforce * the work patterns of your staff * holiday and other absences of those who will be first-aiders and appointed persons * your organisation's history of accidents or incidents You may also need to consider: * the needs of travelling, remote and lone workers * the distribution of your workforce * the remoteness of any of your sites from emergency medical services * whether your employees work on shared or multi-occupancy sites * first-aid provision for non-employees (eg members of the public).

UK First Aid: The Life-Saving Skills We Overlook Statistics: • Every year, around 140,000 people die in the UK from incidents where first aid could have made a difference. That’s more than the number of people who die from cancer. • Less than 1 in 10 people survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in the UK. Immediate CPR can double or triple survival rates. • Only 5% of adults in the UK feel confident enough to administer first aid in an emergency. The fear of doing something wrong often stops them from trying at all. Statements: • First aid is not just a skill; it’s a responsibility. Whether in the workplace, at home, or in public, knowing basic first aid can be the difference between life and death. • In the time it takes for an ambulance to arrive, a bystander trained in first aid can keep someone alive. These minutes are critical. • The more people who are trained in first aid, the safer our communities become. It’s a skill that should be as common as driving or using a computer. Thought-Provoking Points: • Imagine witnessing an emergency and not knowing what to do. How would you feel if someone’s fate depended on your actions? • First aid training should be mandatory in all workplaces and schools. Why wait for an emergency to realise its importance? • We insure our homes, our cars, and our phones, but how often do we invest in the skills needed to protect the lives of those around us?

Title: How Are UK Businesses Thriving in 2024? Let’s Discuss! As we move through 2024, it’s an exciting time to reflect on how businesses across the UK are progressing. Despite the challenges of recent years, many organisations are not just surviving but thriving—adapting to change, embracing innovation, and pushing forward with a renewed sense of purpose. But beyond the numbers, it’s essential to consider the human element. How are staff feeling in their roles? Are they satisfied and engaged, or are there areas where we, as business leaders, can do more to support their growth and well-being? At Purple Dog Training ltd we’ve seen remarkable progress in our own journey this year, but we’re keen to hear from others in the community. • How is your business adapting in 2024? • What strategies have you found most effective in driving growth and employee satisfaction? • What challenges are you facing, and how are you overcoming them? Let’s open up the conversation and learn from each other’s experiences. After all, the success of UK businesses is a collective effort—let’s ensure we’re all moving forward together. #UKBusiness #2024Trends #EmployeeSatisfaction #BusinessGrowth #Leadership
