Title: Analysis on Airplane Crashes and Fatalities Data source: Quantum Analytics NG Visualization tools: Microsoft PowerBI The dataset showcases Boeing 707 accidents that have occurred since 1948. The data includes information on the date,time,location,operator,flight number,route,type of aircraft,registration number,number of persons on board,fatalities,ground fatalities,and a summary of the accident. KPI Generated: - No of Flights - ⁠No of Routes - ⁠No of Fatalities - ⁠Location of Incident - ⁠No of Operators - ⁠Total Passengers - ⁠Types of Aircraft Insights Generated: - No of Fatalities by Flights - ⁠No of Fatalities by Types - ⁠No of Fatalities by Operator - ⁠No of Fatalities by Location - ⁠Location of Incident by Routes - ⁠No of Fatalities by Aboard Slicers: - Month - ⁠Quater - ⁠Year Summary: - Douglas DC-3 has the highest number of fatalities - ⁠Aeroflot has the highest number of fatalities - ⁠The location where the accident happened the most is Tenerife, Canary Islands. Understanding greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions is critical for building a sustainable future and recognising their environmental impact on society. 📌 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝟭𝟬 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 – Landfills and waste disposal generate massive amounts of methane (CH₄), a greenhouse gas far more potent than CO₂, the cement industry is a heavy emitter due to the energy-intensive production of clinker, while agriculture (especially livestock) contributes significantly through methane and nitrous oxide emissions. 📌 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝗚𝗛𝗚 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 – On the flip side, industries like employment placement, professional employer services, and temporary help services have minimal direct emissions, but does that mean they have no impact? they do from indirect emissions from office energy use and commuting still matter. 📌 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘃𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗛𝗚 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 – Some industries, like Anthracite Mining, Chemical & Fertilizer Production, and other mining activities, have significant supply chain emissions, which means a major chunk of their footprint isn’t from direct operations but from transportation, raw material extraction, and production processes. 📌 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝟱 𝗚𝗛𝗚 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝗨𝗦𝗘𝗘𝗜𝗢 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲 – The USEEIO (U.S. Environmentally Extended Input-Output) Code helps categorise industries based on their environmental impact, including greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. By analysing the top 5 highest-emitting sectors, we can pinpoint where emissions are concentrated and which industries need urgent decarbonisation efforts. 💡𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁?
