I may appear grumpy about contract lifecycle management and other big shiny systems, but it is the result of too many real-world examples of systems stopping us from making things better for our clients. A few things are guaranteed: 1. the more ambitious the scope of the system, the more it will be wrong... and the more frustrating it will be to work around 2. the higher the friction to make changes, the less likely changes will happen (to fix the wrong bits and address the frustrations) 3. the system will cost more to implement in time and money than you have budgeted 4. the system will create new problems and may not solve the old problems 5. the person you were relying on to make future changes will leave Try to keep it small and simple. I will be discussing this in our Robots workshop in two weeks.
