Quadsat and ALL.SPACE have conducted a comprehensive evaluation of an ESA (electronically steerable antenna) For LEO constellations. These antennas have, until now, been challenging to test and there is a lack of good performance data. Quadsat's solution is making it possible to accurately test the antenna radiation performance, combined with the evaluation of the dynamic testing of the desired operational cases, including satellite passes, handover switching, and multibeam tracking. It also delivers detailed data on the performance of the antenna, which can be used for further development. John-Paul Szczepanik, Chief Technology Officer, All.Space: “At ALL.SPACE, we’re committed to pushing the boundaries of satellite communications, and this evaluation with Quadsat is a critical milestone. By leveraging its cutting-edge UAV testing solutions, we’ve gained unprecedented insights into the performance of our multi-beam ESA technology in real-world environments.” Read more - https://lnkd.in/eXsDzW82

What a fantastic example of how the UK Space Agency is helping to support the British space industry. The Snowdonia Aerospace Centre looks set to be an important asset, not just for the sector, but also for engaging youngsters. We loved being a part of the event last week and look forward to seeing it develop. https://lnkd.in/e5bs_nSw
Last year we supported Snowdonia Space Centre with £800,000 to develop the Space Technology Test Centre for flight testing rockets, as part of our Space Clusters Infrastructure Fund. 🚀 Read more about the funding 👉 https://lnkd.in/encVA6Pp Our Launch Director Matthew Archer visited during #WorldSpaceWeek to see the site and how it's already inspiring the next generation. 👇

You don't have to be a mathematical genius or science master to get involved in space! There's a place for everyone to make the most of their strengths. As long as you've got passion, you can be part of it! That was the message that Helen Reynolds delivered to Year 6 pupils at Horns Mill Primary School last week as part of World Space Week Association (World Space Week Association). She was so impressed with the level of space knowledge and the attitude of the class! Definitely some budding space stars there! 🛰️ A huge thank you to all the pupils and teachers! 🚀

🎧 PODCAST: Broadcast Unscripted: IBC Highlights 🎧 In our latest episode we talk the hottest trends coming out of IBC - International Broadcasting Convention! 🔥 It has now been a couple of weeks since IBC, one of the biggest shows on the M&E calendar, so we took the opportunity to explore the trends coming out of the show on our latest podcast. We discussed: 🔸 Cloud vs. on-premise - are we seeing a turning point of people not simply putting everything in the cloud without consideration? 🔸 Linear vs. OTT - it seems there may be a resurgence of linear right now, will that continue? 🔸 Changing viewing habits and how the industry is responding to those. 🔸 The AI hype - are we past the AI hype and instead seeing a more pragmatic conversation around the benefits it can bring rather than AI for AI's sake? Thanks to our excellent guests: Robert Ambrose, Managing Director, Caretta Research Ciro Noronha, President, the RIST Forum and CTO, Cobalt Digital Paul Macklin, Director of Product Management, Bitmovin Tim Burton, Managing Director, 7fivefive Don't miss the insights! We were thrilled to work with Jeremy Howitt and Snowdonia Aerospace Centre to help promote their inspirational World Space Week (World Space Week Association) STEM event that was held this week at Llanbedr Airfield in North Wales. The students, from 5 local Gwynedd schools were so enthusiastic and engaged and had the opportunity to build and launch model rockets, experience deep space in a mobile planetarium and then go on to launch their rockets on the airfield. Representatives from the UK Space Agency were on hand, including Matthew Archer Director of Launch to tour the new Space centre site and its test facilities as well as to provide the students with background on the Agency and its work. We were delighted to secure coverage from BBC Wales News Today and S4C's Newyddion Ni to get local and national exposure for this amazing event.

🌍💜 How did we recognise World Mental Health Day 2024? Today is World Mental Health Day 2024, and the theme this year is “It is Time to Prioritise Mental Health in the Workplace.” At Radical Moves, well-being at work is something we encourage our team to bear in mind and be open about with each other. We wanted to reflect this in our recent get-together, especially, after a very busy period leading up to IBC 2024. Our hard-working Radical Movers took some much-needed time to unwind together in a visit to Machynlleth, enjoying chocolate-making and pottery painting at Corris Craft Centre. 🍫🎨 We were first hosted by the knowledgeable Chocoblock who showed us what goes into making a delicious block of chocolate. The team loved designing their bars and, as you can imagine, enjoyed eating them even more! 😜 Next was some delicious lunch at the cafe - we definitely recommend the breakfast baps and chips! 🍔 We then finished the day with the friendly team at Quarry Pottery where the team honed in on their creative skills for a therapeutic pottery-painting session. As we mark World Mental Health Day, we encourage everyone to talk about mental health, whether with colleagues, friends, or family. This lovely get-together was filled with laughter, warm conversations, great company, and delicious food and drink. See the team's artistic masterpieces in the attached video! #WMHD2024
